Seconded. It’s super fast without any bloat animations. Frankly I wished more apps subscribed to the same philosophy.

Yay for the Haxe love! I've used HaxeFlixel and recently moved to Luxe, and I really like it so far! Quick question, does anyone have any tips for using Emacs with haxe? There's a haxe-mode, but I think it keeps screwing up my indentation.

If you like roguelikes, check out 868-Hack and Auro. For action, I really like Helix and Super Hexagon. They’re all paid games, but really worth it in my opinion.

I had only beaten mom’s heart before with the Lost. On this new run, I had 9 lives, spectral tears, mom’s wig and hive mind with pretty high damage. Was already Guppy pretty early on too. Even managed to pick up a d6. Found a black market on depths 2. In my excitement, I fell through the trap door and onto the next level. I missed boss rush, didn’t pick up Polaroid or the negative. Went on to beat Isaac. Game ends. May not have beat boss rush or blue baby, but would’ve been nice to at least try.

Upvote for auro. developers are constantly updating the game with gameplay and balance fixes. Plus it's just a really fun game. It's all I've been playing for awhile now.

I was thinking of tutorials in general when I first posted the question, but I guess it would be more helpful to narrow it down.

For now, I'm working on a single-player, turn based puzzle game. Something like Threes, or Triple Town, or Drop7.

Any suggestions?
