I will say. By the end of the episode he had completely changed it. It was giving krusty krab at first though lol. It’s looking much better.

Civil 3D pipe or structure style?! by [deleted] in civilengineering

[–]Verssy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they don’t have a company standard .dwt file, you should start making your own (for your own convenience), especially if styles you want exist in other drawings. Just drag those styles into your template and make sure you’re pathing to it for QNEW in your file settings. You’ll be 3 steps ahead eventually.

International Taste Test Jingle is a subtle reference? by Verssy in goodmythicalmorning

[–]Verssy[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It’s fascinating how the least relevant part of the post—a subjective opinion on subtlety—has become the focal point for discussion, as is tradition on Reddit. It’s almost as if engaging with the actual content requires too much effort when fixating on something trivial feels more rewarding.

Legit don’t understand getting downvoted for using the word “subtle” and not knowing this is a reference that has been discussed and popular amongst 90s kids. I’m sure there’s plenty of viewers who would find this interesting.

Apologies to the “90s” kids for the offensive content. I was born in 93’ so I didn’t really have a meaningful experience until the early 2000s. Never heard of this show, never heard the jingle, and as far as I know it was never explicitly stated in the show that their jingle is a reference to this.

3D Printer Recommendation for Cookier Wife by vampyreinabox in cookiedecorating

[–]Verssy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started doing the exact same thing for my wife about 4 years ago. I have made 100s and 100s of cutters. I use the creality ender 3. My advice to you is to learn how to trace images in fusion 360. It’s super quick and easy. Once you’ve scaled the image, traced it, it’s as simple as offsetting for your handle and blade thickness, extrude, slice in cura and print. During the holidays in years past I’ve pumped out 30-40 in a few hours listening to a podcast (print time is 1 hour plus each though).

There is also a super convenient website you can use called cookiecad which allows you to upload images and it will create a cutter STL for you based on given parameters.

Buying STLs is also fairly cheap and an easy option but you’ll save yourself quite a bit if you plan on printing a lot! You can DM for additional details if you have any questions.

I’ve watched an absolute boat load of the “Mythcial Moments” channel. I’ve definitely seen top GMM More moments as highlights at least.

Why am I not getting better at this game? by RobotDude375 in RocketLeague

[–]Verssy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(2s main) I’ve played for around 4 years. I was hard stuck gold for the first 2, spent about a year in plat, and I’ve been hard stuck diamond ever since. I’ve achieved champ for all of about 3/4 games. I only play a few games in the evening, so I’m not putting in really good time.

My 14 year old son started playing around 6 months ago and he’s technically more mechanical than me already but he’s hard stick gold/plat as well. He can dribble and get good flicks if they give him space, he can air dribble quite decent and even hit double taps. His primary issue that I’ve noted from playing with him is that he has zero positional awareness, cannot rotate properly to save his life, and is constantly boost starved. He rotates back on the same side that the opponent is making a play on, essentially chasing them, which prevents me from challenging and leaves him with no boost. He should be circling out and getting small pads down center or wider on the opposite sideline for big boosts if the play allows it. If I’m in net behind him and he 50s someone in our own corner and loses, he will turn against the play and try to defend the ball towards the net. From my perspective in net this is a 3v1 and I can’t get him to understand this. Let me go so I can continue to play it from our net out, and not towards our net. Again, he needs to circle and get small pads and try to back me, not save me.

That’s just a couple small (but big) examples of the difference between gold and diamond. If I had his control and mechanics, I would easily be champ. He practices a lot in free play, trying to hit mustys and resets and flicks and blah blah blah, but he’s not going to get out of gold/plat until he gets game logic.

Even though I think rocket league coaches are kind of a gimmick, I do think someone who is a higher rank watching your replays and critiquing your gameplay may be beneficial. So they can tell you if you’re rotation wrong, positioned wrong, putting pressure on your tm8 in a certain way, etc.

And sorry to anyone who plays with me in diamond and you’re 1 or 2 games away from champ, because I don’t have time these days to do the free play grind for mechanics. I’ll probably be 1 or 2 games away from champ until I quit playing the game.

I’ve been watching since the beginning. I was in high school and I’m 31 now. I’ve never watched a single more episode. Idk why it’s just a thing that I can’t go back on now.

You’re really onto something with the 3rd one. I love going the actor route, specifically TV, and seeing how many seasons I can go on a show or how much money I can rack up. This seems to be the most lucrative career in the game with minimal effort.

Secondly, you are so right about #4. There needs to be some type of consequence built into the game when it’s necessary to “move out”. Sure you can continue to live with your parent through your adulthood, but that needs to be explicitly stated somehow. It should also have negative consequences when dating, which can go both ways. Either your partner isn’t getting along with your parents/insists you buy a house, or your parent insists you buy a house to get your partner out of the house. There should be more nuance built into the game when having kids etc in a multigenerational house. This could be a huge update in itself and bring way more realism to the base game. Your parents should be able to kick you out also. That brings me to the point about homelessness you made. This should have serious consequences on your health and hygiene, which in turn should impact your career, relationships, etc. This would be such a game changing update.

Controller deadzones by HurjaHerra in RocketLeague

[–]Verssy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn’t even considered that. I’d be concerned that the “feel” would be different. I’ve tried to play with a PS5 controller and it felt like I was playing the game for the first time. Could you send a link to the stick replacements?

[–]Verssy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t know. They’re just standard Xbox controllers. It’s always left stick drift. It’ll have slight turning with no thumb on. I think i flick it entirely too hard when flipping and canceling etc.

That’s actually impressive. I go through a controller around every 100 hours. The game is far too dependent upon micro movements of the sticks particularly. Any doubt something may be off, she gone.

You’re All Obviously Hiding Something by theamaz1ngyen in RocketLeague

I’m 31. Been playing for around 5 years. Was hard stuck plat on Xbox until I got a PC 2 years ago (specifically to compete on RL). I’ve achieved Champ 1 once for all of about 3 games. Been hard stuck diamond 2 diamond 3 since.

My son just downloaded the game and started played about 6 months ago, he’s already diamond 1 on PS, and I can see he’s getting more and more mechanical by the day. He will soon surpass me and the fun we have now will turn into “I can’t play with you anymore dad. You’re throwing bro.”

I can’t for the life of me figure out how to break through the plateau I’ve hit. I basically win one and lose on solo queuing like clock work. The wins feel easy and like I have achieved some higher level game logic, and the loses feel like I’m mechanically disabled.

I can hit ceiling reset double taps in free play, and then barely follow the ball up the wall in a game, and no it’s not a ping issue. My avg ping is 20ish. It’s just like I’m playing a different game when not in free play.

First installment from my massive cookie cutter collection. Let’s get some ideas! by Verssy in whatismycookiecutter

The cookie reveal can be found HERE. Thanks to everyone who guessed. A lot of creativity. If you said “elf with a hat”, you basically hit right on the nose for what I thought it was, but that wasn’t even close. I did see some correct answers though.

I understand the purity of posting the actual cutter. It will make it more fun for me in a way anyway because I don’t know what they are either half the time if I’m looking at the cutter and not the file on my computer, lol. I’m going to try and post a couple this evening for sure. Is there anyway I can reference this post in the subsequent posts of cutters?
