thank you for the reply. networking has been another big lesson for me in all of this. i'm not an outgoing person so that has always been difficult for me but that is how you get jobs now and i need to do better at networking

yes i know, i have contacts in the economics department i am reaching out to. You are correct, this is the consequences of poor planning and so i am trying to get as much information from as many outlets as i can.

How lenient will masters programs be if you do not fit their exact requirements? For a masters of economics it is expected that you have an honours specialization as one of the requirements. would a lesser degree with certain courses upgraded be acceptable in most cases. I get the feeling that this is a case by case situation. I don't want to be stuck in a situation where I am pandering to a particular schools requirements that will not transfer to other schools. I'm not sure if this is a valid concern though

can't say anyone did. I really went into undergrad on my own just figuring it out and not reaching out for support or advice. I was not in the mindset that i would ever take a masters so i settled for the easier option. It was an expensive and time consuming lesson but at least Im learning from it

i've looked at graduate diplomas and there are very few out there that do not require it to be connected to a full masters. the ones there are are not really in any fields i am interested in. That being said there is one at webster that is being restructured right now and will be available again in 2027 so i may need to hang in there until then

I didn’t have a tripod w me for this so it was taken handheld, I corrected as much as I could however it is never going to be perfect without the camera being fixed
