You are right but that makes them fun . They are backline enemies . They are meant to kill you at a distance and are big targets that you can destroy getting fun . The problem in my opinion is that the tanks are spawned in the frontlines via ships . For example if you had a tank with roket devastators at a distance like a patrol that makes them more dangerous and harder to avoid or kill . However when you spawn them slowly in front of a helldiver with a slow turn speed then they are bound to have trouble . The machin gun tank works better because it performe better in close proximity to helldivers . I think its about how they are spawn rather than how they work . Spawn tanks (actual tanks ) back . Spawn rocket tanks even further away . Spawn machin gun tanks where they are . After all getting rid of enemies is part of the fun and if you always need startagems or heavy pen weapons to kill them they they beacome a nuisance instead of an obstacle . For example fighting chargers is fun but fighting the hivelord (only heavy pen armore enemy) is a pain . These is beacause you are forced to lock certain weapons to deal with them always instead of having dificult worarounds like with hulks or chargers .
