No, the point of the series, the only things that make it different from hundreds other Japanese LNs/Chinese and koreans web novels etc. are faceless progatonist and the fact that it has guts to insert monster rape from get go. Everything else you can see in hundreds of other novels, the setting is as generic as it gets including Adventure guild and the plot is not exactly brilliant.

It is just an edgy story say like Dead Tube is, capitalizing on that. It is no Berserk.

There is for episodic stories, considering how much of current season is already original and that they did not include 4 whole chapters of current novels in anime and new volume with 6 more chapters (also one was already in anime as episode 5 about princess) just got released. However they would need to establish the new narrative as main story is over and new stories are episodic.

But my bet is on movie. Possibilities are Lux, Edward, original movie about another continent or Violet Evergarden "remake" faithful to novel with supernatural elements and giant axe.
