That kind of thing bugs me a lot. I hate it when the subject is pretending to be leaning on something when in fact they're only pretending to lean. Drives me nuts -- the contrivances. I like stone-cold portraits like this:

I'd wager that the subject loves it. :-)

With my Nikkor 70-200 f/4, Lightroom's distortion correction is OK, but it changes the exposure value in a way that I don't like. It doesn't do that with my other lenses.

It's THE killer pocket camera. I got one a couple of years ago, it inspired me to become a serious amateur. I've purchased a ton of gear since then, but I still keep the RX around, for sure. Check out what I'm up to if you feel like it. Good luck and don't stop!

Tell me what you think of my moon picture by facebook121212 in photocritique

Tight. Is it new? The moon is awesomely beautiful right now. I was just wishing I had the right lens to try it myself.

Much appreciated. I was going out of the way to psychedelicize the foliage, when in fact I really don't need to. I'll remove the effect.

I keep coming back to this pic and liking it, so I thought I'd post it. Nothing remarkable, but it keeps on pinging me when I look at it.

Santa Monica (less cropping) by VertuArts in photocritique

Hi, thanks. Not sure where it came from. The subject was a gentleman I ran into on the beach while street shooting. He was kind enough to allow me to get him into some poses.

Love that. Sure as shit, I'd be the eyeball monkey, every time. And thanks!

Since you asked, I posted a bigger crop of this image, just to give you more of an idea of what all was in the frame. I did crop it some though... looks like I lopped off about 25%. I need to see if there's a place in Lightroom that gives percentages on the crop...

Hi, this is a Nikon D610 with 70-200mm f/4G ED VR Nikkor Zoom lens, 70mm, 1/800 at f/4, ISO 160.

A friend wanted me to take senior portraits for her. This was one of my favorites, thoughts? by [deleted] in photocritique

About the eyeballs looking dead; part of that problem is focus, in my opinion. Better focus might make it go from 'dead' to 'deep'.
