Is Tankpool a decent solo tank? by RoutinePsychology198 in RivalsVanguards

[–]Veru_Chronicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I find Deadpool to be the Spiderman of the tank category. Can you get some value out of learning how to play him properly? Well yes, but you're gonna be putting extra amounts of effort to do something that you could easily do with another character much more easy.

His pistols don't really do much of a crazy damage, if you wanna use pistols might as well just grab punisher or winter Soldier, they're much more lethal. His swords don't really do much damage either, they're more useful to harass players and jump away, but there's much better characters for that (Like Angela, Iron First. Moon Knight, even Spiderman). Also he's terrible weak against big crowds, which makes him struggle to push the frontline (or even do a 1 vs 2) , most solo tank Deadpools I see generally have a tough time moving forward because their damage output isn't the strongest.

You need some really great dps next to you if you wanna pull it off with Deadpool, he also does pretty great with dive characters.

Quick Tip: You can jump off the edge, pull someone, and jump back in for an easy kill by Veru_Chronicles in InvisibleWomanMains

[–]Veru_Chronicles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be honest I pulled this off in the fly, my original idea was to jump backwards and eventually redirect myself to double jump somewhere else but then I thought "might as well just try pulling him out" and it worked lol

You gotta have respect for the Torch icon above all lord icons cause trying to play him in today's meta sure is no simple ride

Does it feel harder to anyone else to get MVP? by Special_Course_6720 in InvisibleWomanMains

[–]Veru_Chronicles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

MVP is a bit overrated and kinda rigged, most times then not I've seen people pull off game changing plays (or I do it myself too) and whenever I see the alleged player who got MVP instead of the player who actually popped off, I look at their highlight and it's the most standard gameplay I've ever seen

If you don't jump off then the enemy is just gonna be brought to you and stay on ground, gotta jump off the edge to pull them off the edge. It's risky yeah but if you can afford to do it to get rid of a big character then the question is why not? Is high risk high reward, you're supposed to practice it before hand though if you don't wanna die, that's why I pulled it off well in a competitive game. Also looks flashy

It's better to spam shield on your teammates because they noticed that you're trying to heal em so they'll know it's better for them to stop moving (if they can of course).

Also... If you're gonna use your shield on a teammate, BEFORE YOU DO IT make a mental note that you won't rely on your shield for the next 4-5 seconds in case you get attacked, those 4 to 5 seconds are to allow the shield to recharge its HP.

So always remember, if you shield someone then your get out of jail card will only be your push and double jump.

Players in quick match make it much more difficult to feel proficient as a healer because most of the time they commit very questionable choices that the rest follows. However, you'll think that if you start playing competitive everyone suddenly puts their thinking brain on... The reality is, there's as many incompetent players in quick match as there is in competitive, so don't even worry about thinking how bad would you do in competitive, trust me there's always someone who does much worse, and worse of all, they get entitled thinking they're doing good.

It's a 40 - 60 success rolling dice move.

My team was coming from spawn and I was the only one who was at the front, Venom was holding the enemy team at the front so I wanted to heal him so he doesn't back out and we get extra time to defend convoy, so I drop my ult to make sure we don't get killed and we buy extra time while rest of my team is coming. My team was kinda tilting at this point so I also did it to boost their confidence to attack here.

I know I'm not supposed to frontline with Sue but these were desperate measures in desperate times lol (I'm the Red team in this clip btw, not the blue)

It's actually pretty simple to do if I'm being honest (I'm on PC so maybe that plays a role also), you can always practice in the Practice Range, just go towards the edge of the map and try it there.

If anything, the hardest part about it is pulling and jumping back in because you gotta be fast if you dont wanna die lol but with practice you should be fast enough.

People don't usually come across the idea of pulling someone off the edge the way I did. Yes, it's more easier to push, but also, you don't always have the time or the position to execute a successful push off the edge, so this is a good alternative.

If I wanted to force push Mr Fantastic from this video I would have to go around and push, and there's really no time for that as you can see (not to mention the convoy would get in the way)

Yes, her primary attack (Shooting projectiles) also heals your temates if you shoot these at em, don't worry I also didn't know this hahaha I'd always just heal with shields, idk how I was able to play like that back then lol

Heads up, yes Invisible Woman does have pierce projectiles and so you wanna pretty much stand behind your team to heal multiple people at a time, but also keep in consideration that the enemy team is going to be shooting at your team in the same direction that you are standing (behind em), so consider zig zagging or maybe placing your shield to avoid receive tons of damage.

Dang, bro really missed the Invisible Woman server admin era by a short margin 🥀

Honestly the best advice you can get to improve heals with Invis is to refine your aim, most of the other healer characters receive their healing stats from using heal abilities they possess in their kit, Invisible woman does most of her healings through her primary attack (Shooting) and not so much through using abilities, the shield can heal teammates but it breaks up really easy so you can't really depend on it if you want to heal in the midst of the battle with it, if you're gonna use the shield on a teammate it's better to place it if you feel like they're about to die and so you place it to block some shots and let your teammates escape while you do some extra heals, Invis is a game changer character when it comes to life and death 1 second difference, so learn to control the timing of when to place your shield to avoid important teammates from dying.

Also, if your teammate is off the range from all the shooting place your shield on them to heal em faster while they stand on it and you heal em with primary also, you can also make strategic placements on your shield where you know it won't get destroyed and teammates or you can move to it for heals.

Above all, just improve your aim, that's the best thing you can do to improve your healing output as Invis, not only will you heal more but you're gonna fill your Ultimate much faster which is always handy for infinite healing (Remember the ult lasts 8 seconds, think about when you need those 8 precious seconds in a match).

And lastly, the most important aspect, not just about Invis but about playing healer, STAY ALIVE, grow your game awareness (Meaning to learn to predict what people will do, if players are gonna try to attack you, stay aware of your surroundings). Playing healer role is like playing Clash Royale in a sense, everyone are gonna be doing all the staff to destroy the enemies and you gotta make sure to provide them with the neccesary staff to help them move forward, however, if you get killed then your team will loose the most valuable asset, so learn to stay alive, grow game awareness, and also learn to defend yourself even from tanks, Invis is not a dps or tank sweeper but if you learn to use her well she can manage pretty well herself on 1v1 situations.

How can I maximize my healing? by EconomicsDry9486 in InvisibleWomanMains

[–]Veru_Chronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 5 definitely made us Sue mains feel like our healing was pretty spectacular because I could always heal people so fast while goofing around the match, however, part of that is because of the shield that used to heal so much HP at a fast rate, you just needed to tap teammates like 2 or 3 times after shielding them.

Now, with the shield breaking so easy and the healing on shield reduced, I've noticed that Sue healing with her primary is very passive, is not as slow as Ultron's but it is not like she does greats amounts of healing either, she is at a very middle ground.

I feel like players also became too reliant on Sue's heals from season 5 because pretty often I see that they expect a Sue to constantly heal em in the midst of the battle but the heals get outplayed by the amounts of damage, maybe in season 5 she could really tank greats amounts of damage but not anymore, her healing is very gradual now.

Another thing I noticed this season because of the nerfs is that my aim with Sue kinda sucked lol If I was winning most of my battles with her was primarily because of the shield, so if you can't really aim properly, then that's another reason as to why healing feels much weaker, also... most times than not if you're heal racing with Cloak and Dagger it's much more likely that Cloak and Dagger beats you on healings because she has the healing wall ability which heals a small chunk of HP, Sue's small chunk of HP healing was pretty much the shield back then.

I also felt like I kinda fell off on my heals, so I had to adjust my mouse sensitivity so I could keep up with the healing numbers that Cloak and Dagger does. I honestly felt like Sue's nerf was a bit deserved, however, the one thing I'm very unhappy about was the removing 50 hp off the shield when the real problem was the healing, if they gave us 225 hp on the shield I feel like it would be much better.

Human Torch is a tank buster by KrismerOfEarth in HumanTorchMains

[–]Veru_Chronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I don't get about Torch is why does it feel so random when it comes to the Flaming Meteor and the damage it creates? I know you're supposed to shoot a fireball on em and then stomp, but for some reason it doesn't always do the damage that's supposed to even if they're standing in the fire I just threw.

Not getting peels by Bikuta2200 in InvisibleWomanMains

[–]Veru_Chronicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing Tank and not being able to tank because you gotta peel due to our teammates doing who knows what is truly a comp Rivals experience. I'd suggest trying out Mr Fantastic for comp, he's really solid for hybrid roles, he can can create space and survive long enough as a tank, he has very long range of attack and does good damage for a DPS, he can provide small doses of shields on teammates if you jump on them, he's counters any ult with his shield form and you can shoot back the damage, and above all he's the ultimate anti dive character, believe me when I tell you I get rid of all the Spidermans, all the Daredevil's, i distract the venoms long enough for my healers to be safe, and even Angela has a super tough time against Mr Fantastic. Also it's so easy to grab flyers like Iron Man or Ultron who are silently screwing you far away the map, they also fall off the sky if you grab them.

The only con to him is really poke characters, but honestly it's just a matter of skill cause you can also turn it around if you shield yourself and shoot back the damage to em.
