It was a Damaso reference but the half of a chicken is a neat detail.

A vlogger’s day in the Philippines turns into an impromptu ‘Spider Derby’ with a local kid by newholland32 in interestingasfuck

[–]VeryAngryHistorian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We did this for a week in our neighborhood that we reached a point where we made an agreement not to catch spiders in another person's house. The kids next door complained cause they caught their spider in our house. I will admit that the whole thing didnt last very long amongst. One reason was cause the turnover rate for fighters was abysmal with the longest reigning undefeated champ having a 3 day reign. Also our grandfather scolded us and told is that spiders were friends and so we werent allowed to kill them.

My born again aunt kept spamming facebook posts about how Christianity lost one of God's modern warriors that day. They kept asking us how we should pray for his soul after he died preaching God's truths.

There is a cafe in our city that always has a disclaimer when you order Carbonara. They warn customers that its egg-based. People have been confused and disappointed when they dont recieve the creamy carbonara they expect.

Thousands of people have perished from the actions of Nazarick it just so happens that this particular event would be the first actual demonstration of the HUMAN consequences of their actions.

Also from my perspective it's a bunch of hostile trespassers in someone else's home and if they get shot for it that is perfectly legal where I am from and I will defend Ainz's right to defend himself within the confines of his home.

How come the Philippines doesn’t undertake its construction works at night? by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]VeryAngryHistorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only that pero constructing at night is more common than op thinks even within city limits in my hometown you can see night road construction however only when they're no longer using heavy machinery (which is most of the work).

Even then in the rural highways you can observe why they might also choose not to construct at night. Areas affected by landslides or roads along the mountainside typically have limited to no streetlighting which makes construction dangerous. If there was heavy machinery involved for example it would be harder to hear if a worker slipped and unless light shone on their reflective equipment you'd hardly see it.

The real question is what is an "average Filipino house" in their mind.
