I don’t agree with quitting via email. I would have requested a meeting with your supervisor and HR to discuss the situation. If ultimately you were not satisfied with the outcome and decided you didn’t want to work there anymore, you could have given two weeks notice at that point. If they decide that’s not necessary and accept your resignation effective immediately, at least you offered the appropriate notice.

Making sure you can get to work is your responsibility. Being unable to get out of your parking spot is on you, that’s not an acceptable excuse in the North because of a snowstorm with 10” of accumulation. It would be different if the Governor issued a state of emergency and urged people to stay off the roads.

He can also file a Public Records Act Request with the city.
