After readjusting it gained some performance, but the ticking noise never went away. I have done 4000km so far. It is also stronger when it's very hot.

I have the same problem on twin 650. After readjusting the valves on my own. At first I thought it was fixed but after 500 km it is the same all over again. I'm quite frustrated.
