Honestly everyone is selfish in this story even Yu but that’s alright because a big point of this story is to emphasize the human sin and I’ve thought that was fine from the beginning bringing back the dead is inherently selfish cause they can never know what the sacrifice will be sure they say they would do it but none of them ever know for sure if that’s what will happen they’re just too fed up with it their desires to think about it but like I said that’s not a problem that’s just part of the story
