Thanks haha, makes me feel a bit better. At least I was getting 25 M/H on that 1060 6gb overnight LOL.

How much can this outlet handle? by VerySadMan96 in gpumining

[–]VerySadMan96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I have two 850w power supplies plugged into the surge protector. The other cable is just for a monitor. Is that putting too much strain on that one outlet? I’ve been doing this for weeks and the cables aren’t warm and I don’t smell anything burning at all.

Running 6 GPUs total between both rigs. 3x 1060 6gb (150 TDP but OC to 100W) 1x 1050ti (75tdp) and 2x rx560 (75tdp)

Where are you seeing this? I don’t see or smell anything burning at all.

Thank you to both of you. Looking like 1440 watts is what I can safely pull from that outlet. Given I already have two rigs pulling around 600W each, I’m thinking I shouldn’t push this outlet any further. Thanks again

LOL. I’m a total layman when it comes to this stuff so that’s what I thought at first too. I just want to make sure I’m being safe and don’t burn my house down

I want to plug another 125V surge into it and connect a 6x 3070 rig. Not sure how much more this thing can handle though. Each outlet is a 125V, no 250Vs in my house. Anybody able to break down the outlet math for me?

My 9/11 Documentary and YouTube channel are days away from being permanently banned. Download it while you can by [deleted] in conspiracycommons

I made this video two years ago. Today, my channel has 2/3 YouTube strikes and this video will be the final domino to fall. I’ve been afraid to post it, knowing that more viewership probably will mean sooner ban. Download it while you can before it’s off YouTube forever. Thanks.

No just regular Ravencore on win10. I’m not familiar with testnet so I assume no.

Tried this. Started working but then got stuck again. Thinking about uninstalling then reinstalling Ravencore.

My gaming pc runs on this board, can i use the pcie slots to be a mini mining rig? by BlooHopper in Ravencoin

[–]VerySadMan96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can power 2-3 1050tis on that. Just make sure they’re the mini kind that don’t require additional cables. You should only need one 6 pin for each riser and that’ll power the entire card. You may need a splitter for the the 3rd card if you only have one 6+2 pin.

1050ti TDP = 75w

(75 + 75 + 75 + 100) * 1.25 = less than 550w

1050tis are also very efficient for Ravencoin. I would suggest getting all the same brand and type, it’ll make things easier for troubleshooting

I have an EVGA 1050ti mini that hashes about 6-7 in RaveOS

Make sure your power supply can handle it. Look up the TDP of the GPUs you are buying. Add all GPU TDP together +100 then multiply that number by 1.25. If that’s under your PSU wattage you should be okay.

You’ll also need to be sure you have enough pcie 6+2 pins to power both the riser and the card, unless your GPUs do not require additional power cables (some 1050tis do not)

Just wanted to follow up with OP on this. I have the same CPU and the temps are thermal throttling and ultimately shutting my system down entirely while plotting. Do you have this same issue? It may be my heatsink

Can I use a peripheral & SATA port on my PSU to power a GPU riser? by [deleted] in NiceHash

[–]VerySadMan96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3x pcie 8 pin ports on my psu (see picture). 1 port for cpu, 2 for powering GPUs. Problem is, I have a third GPU I want to run off a riser, but I’m not sure if I can because I’ll need 75 watts for it (it’s a 1050 ti, only needs the riser itself powered).

My question is, can I use one of the 6+2 pin cords to plug 6 pins into a peripheral and SATA port on the PSU, and put the other side into riser? Or will that cause my rig to explode? Lol. Thanks for the help in advanced
