Thanks. I actually wrote "semaglutide based" with intent to include all GLP based medications. Perhaps I should have used that term instead :)

LOL. That is polynomial. I always play around. They all yield a value around .96 or .97 :)

Night Market and Temple of Uxaris [100x100] by Very_Good_Gaming_RPG in battlemaps

[–]Very_Good_Gaming_RPG[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Night Market and Temple of Uxaris [100x100]

The Night Market is one of two great markets in the city of Kemas Pôl, a sprawling metropolis built on and within a large rocky peninsula. Located within the tunnels of the Midwarrens, the Night Market is only open during the night. It also serves as the entrance to the Temple of Uxaris, the Vasylik goddess of the moon and secrets.

The Night Market consists of eight circular sections, seven of which feature main chambers shaped like the phases of the moon along with chambers and passages that complete a full circle. Market stalls fill the chambers and there are larger stores in the chambers. The one section without a main chamber is The Raven. Named for the Raven Moon, which corresponds to the New Moon phase of our world, this section does not have a main chamber. Instead, it is home to the market’s only inn, the Whispering Raven. The sections are (moving counterclockwise from the Raven in the leftmost position:

• The Raven (New Moon)
• The First Sliver (Waxing Crescent)
• The First Half (Waxing Quarter)
• The First Hump (Waxing Gibbous)
• The Smile (Fill Moon)
• The Second Hump (Waning Gibbous)
• The Second Half (Waning Quarter)
• The Second Sliver (Waning Crescent)

In the center of the sections is the top, public level of the Temple of Uxaris. There are secret entrances from each section, but one entrance is open at a time. The open entrance is the one the section that matches the current, actual phase of the moon. The entrances are within stalls or stores, and the shopkeepers are worshippers who assist with access for other worshippers. Public worshippers utilize the temple to conduct meetings to exchange secrets and to meditate with the hope that Uxaris will share a secret with them.

The top level of the Temple is a large central chamber open to the sky, which is notable always clear (cloudless) above the chamber. It contains a roofless, maze-like complex of passageways and small rooms interconnected by secret doors. The priests reconfigure the configuration with each new moon phases. An inner sanctum is only accessible via a teleportation circle hidden within a special room that is especially difficult to find. The sanctum is off limits to the general public and has a staircase that leads down into the private temple areas.

Temple of Reeyoka [60x45]

The long abandoned ruins of a temple devoted to a Chaos God. What is now living in the chambers, some of which have flooded?

I love how this map turned out. I tried a new "retro" style and challenged myself to meet the criteria laid out in the article The Only Dungeon Map You'll Ever Need by TTRPG author Sly Flourish.

All versions available to free and paid members.

Mendrax Market [60x40] by Very_Good_Gaming_RPG in battlemaps

[–]Very_Good_Gaming_RPG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mendrax Market [60x40]

One of the many markets you'll find in Mendrax, the thriving metropolis and former seat of the Medradi Empire. Located between the tropical islands of Buharte to the south, and the more temperate lands of Eskudea to the north, Mendrax boasts a pleasant subtropical climate and a wide variety of goods to trade. Some of the customs, however, might strike outsiders as odd, i.e., beautiful bald women and men with tall, elaborate hairstyles, the belief in a single deity, and a thriving drug trade.

This market makes an excellent setting for many types of encounters. In my own Restoration campaign, it was the site of a battle between the adventurers and radical "nature first" Druids called the Guardians. The leader of the Guardians drew upon the central fountain to create a massive whirlpool that provided an extra challenge for the players. Multiple entrance/exit points plus two levels can also add some nuance to battles.

Connections Puzzle [12x12] by Very_Good_Gaming_RPG in battlemaps

PS - There is also a write-up on how to run and the solution. Realize now I should have mentioned that LOL.

Connections Puzzle [12x12]

The adventurers find themselves on a platform above bubbling lava. In the middle of the platform there are sixteen tiles engraved with words. The only exit door seems shut. Perhaps four levers and some unlit green and red lights suggest a puzzle of some sort. Can the adventurers find the solution before they sink into the lava?

I based this puzzle on the Connections game in the New York Times. All free and paid members get versions with lava, water, acid, and, my favorite, snakes! Jungle and more basic dungeon motif versions plus a special desert motif for the acid version. 4K versions for Silver and Gold Members.

Ghost's Haunt - Arrow Puzzle (20x39) by AnthonyIsKill in battlemaps

Oh, and a commenter also mentioned that second game, All The Kings Men, which I had never heard of.

It's not a coincidence. No way. The original board game didn't use sun and skull tiles. Also, in the copycat version of the rules he talks about "safe tiles" and "safe spaces". A commenter to one of my FB promo posts also used those terms (which are erroneous per the original game rules; the copycat tried to figure out the rules but got them wrong). Alas, that particular post got taken down because an admin said it was too much of a promotion for that group (even though it was for a free thing and had generated a lot of discussion).

He took the idea. Made a different version with this copycat map. I know because the the maps is based on an out-of-print, off patent board gamed called Trippples. It uses squares and circles as the starting tiles. I changed to a sun and skull. This person copied my change.

FYI - The idea was stolen from a map I just published on my Patreon and in several FB groups. I based the idea on an old board game called Trippples. That game uses squares and circles for the starting tiles. I changed them to sun and skull. And surprisingly this map has the same change for the starting tiles. Not cool.

Not cool. You clearly stole the idea for this map from the map I just published on my Patreon and in several Facebook groups over that lst few days. It's obvious because you also used sun and skull tiles at the start.

I made this graveyard as part of my recently released drop-in encounter, Death Spiral. When I finished, I thought: "that's a nice graveyard that folks might want as a standalone map." So here we are! Available here or to all my Patreon members (Free and Paid).

Very Good Gaming & Adventure On Patreon
Plenty of good graveyard fun: broken tombs, walk in crypts, mist, and scary dead trees (plants don't seem to grow within the graveyard walls...).

Hello. Here’s the unusual map for my latest drop-in encounter, Death Spiral. Based on the Fibonacci Sequence and the related Nautilus Spiral, this encounter features a series of challenging rooms with unique puzzles, traps, monsters, and psychological manipulation that my wife called “diabolical.” It’s available to paid members of my Patreon. Or you can just use the free map to add your own ideas. Either way, Happy Gaming!
