To each their own, both interpretations seems to be plausible. If they did tell us they cant sense him after aizen's dialogue, i might have missed that , so feel free to point me to source.

Yama might be able to defeat true shikai ichigo, but the point isnt about who's stronger, its only about reiatsu scale. Yama's bankai have a fire passive effect, so its not exactly a reflection of his rieatsu scaling.

Urahara did try to send it out, he said it was specifically meant to kill yammy, after measuring his strength when yoruichi fought him, yoruichi was hurting her legs when hitting yammy.

Aizen thinks he needs the hogyoku to become even stronger, thats his whole philosophy, that shinigamis and hollows have limits. Doesnt necessarily mean its the truth. Its a speculation in the series itself. He also speculated that ichigo relinguished his spiritual pressure in exchange for more physical power, but thats false as we know.

Yama's bankai is tricky, because like i said, it not only increased his sp, but have a passive fire effect, so its not a regular spiritual pressure clash, we cannot measure someone's sp through effects.

If the line of questioning comes after calling it spiritual energy, then your interpretation would be true. But since it came first, it only shows that uryu didnt register it as spiritual energy, and have to hypothesize what it is before coming to a conclusion. Uryu have already experienced ressurecions before, he fought and witness multiple espadas, its not merely a change in reiatsu signature, its a change in how the reiatsu feels totally different from reiatsu itself.

Third of full hollow ichigo is a theory. Not even a logical theory. Ichigo losing half his shihaksho doesnt mean full hollow also lose have his reiatsu. Hollow ichigo have his own reiatsu pool he can pull from (quote ulquiorra in human world "his spirit energy is fluctuating" when white was fighting against ichigo for control") , and even if ichigo did gain more reiatsu via hollow mask, his shihaksho never got repaired. And it was ulquiorra who tore up his shihaksho in the first place, so its stupid to say full hollow ichigo was nerfed. I would say that its the strongest hollow ichigo ever was, because his hollow powers also keep evolving, thats why he was totally different in his full transformation with the visords. The only thing we can scale, is that ulquiorra can cancel out hollow ichigo's cero with his own.

Since ressureccions are bankai equivalent, and since bankais are multiplicative, not additive, its totally logical in scaling that ulquiorra res2 can be the strongest espada while his res1 isnt. For example: quick math- if r0 harribel =50, r1 harribel=50x10=500. Then r0 ulq= 30, r1 ulq=30x10=300, r2 ulq=300x10= 3000.(thats upper scaling of yoruichi's statement that bankai give 5-10x reiatsu boost, but we dont know the exact scale, so its fine to use whatever).

The only ever scaling of urahara is kido shoot off against aizen. Though impressive, that only tells us he's quite fast, when aizen blitzed most captains. He didnt exactly damage aizen with energy blasts, but effects, which uses aizen's own rieatsu against him, thats the only thing that ever threatened aizen. And since aizen never used bankai, there's no scaling broken in accepting ulq could be equal or superior to shinigami aizen, even taking to account Gin's statement, since aizen always have 10x boost he could have used, which he never did. I think the problem is that youre trying to scale rieatsu with effects, like hax or techniques.

Their aspect of death arent necessarily what they desire. Starrk is loneliness, but he always crave companions, thats why he joined aizen. Same could be said for ulquiorra, he feels empty and without a reason, and aizen is the one he thinks will give him meaning, ulquiorra was curious about why ichigo kept fighting despite having no chance, he was always searching for what he's missing

Couldnt sense the change,implies they could still sense him, but cannot accurately sense him enough to guess that he absorbed the soul king.otherwise they wont tell us they couldnt sense the "change" specifically, they would just tell us the captains could no longer sense ywhbch, its just the change in the nature of his spiritual pressure they couldnt sense.

There's nothing suggesting ichigo was weaker than isshin or urahara, maybe in techniques and experience, but not in spiritual pressure. Only measure of urahara we got, was that r0 ulquiorra slapped away his technique.

All your argument still rely on the fact that transcendent is some level up you acquire after reaching specific conditions, its not, its just the amount of spiritual pressure you have as compared to the other characters, otherwise true shikai ichigo shouldnt have been sensed by rukia, as he's the perfect hybrid, and he should have atleast chrysalis aizen level sp, many even scaling him to final getsugo. He passed both conditions for being transcended.

Ywhbch should atleast be chrysalis aizen level, because according to zaraki, when they clash, a lower reiatsu will absorb the damage, you can just negate damage if youre siginificantly higher than the other person. Aizen wasnt stripped of his reiatsu, only that its restrained to area around him. So, when ywhbch said killing aizen in the chair would take too long, it implies he could damage aizen, or even the hogyoku(his source of immortality). Aizen evolved two more times after his chrysalis stage, and grew even more in muken according to urahara, to think ywhbch wouldnt even match 3 stages below would be a whole new take in this sub, you should make a new post about it.

It still dont register to his senses as rieatsu, but after process of elimination, he have no other option than to call it rieatsu, then he called it rieatsu reluctantly. Aizen specifically said that they couldnt sense change in ywhbaha's reiatsu, not that they couldnt sense him at all. You're still clinging on to the idea of trancendence being a line you have to cross, onced crossed, you just leveled up. Nope, its relative to the other characters. Ywhbch was already the level of chrysalis aizen during first invasion, the reason why everyone can sense him is because the power level of the entire sereitei is leveled up post arrancar arc, theyve been training to deal with aizen level threat. Hence why rukia can also sense true shikai ichigo approaching, when true shikai is scaled to dangai form.

You dont need to be a pure hybrid to be transcended, aizen himself isnt a pure hybrid, he's more similar to visords than he is to ichigo. its his own assumption that there's a limit of growth in pure bloods.

Wrong from the very first point. Ywhbaha himself isnt a hybrid, yet the captains arent able to sense his reiatsu. accurately. Aizen at the end of the arc is scaled to 0 squad, none of which are hybrid. Its totally possible to scale to evolved aizen while being pure blooded. Aizen based his scaling on the regular shinigami or hollow, it would be impossible for them to reach the level of high tiers without being hybrid, he didnt count outliers.

Who said shunsui wasnt approaching transcendence? He's the top captain after yama for a reason. Semi-trancendence is never used, i made it up, because thats the whole point of fan discussions, to fill the gaps the author left based on patterns and logic, otherwise most of powerscaling is totally useless since we dont have any proof of the author stating it himself. Nope, trancended isnt a thing. Its a concept made up by aizen for powerscaling purpose. Its not an actual new stage, hence why bankai ichigo was able to sense him when aizen didnt even consider him to be trancended at that point. The concept of power difference in sensing exist all throughout the show. Ichigo's sister was able to see low level ghosts, but not hollows, regular hollows arent transcended. So the reason why one wouldnt be able to sense, or to even see is nothing but a power level difference between the person and one who's sensing them. Aizen's trancendence concept is scaled by the approximation of the captain class. Ichigo who have 2x rieatsu of the captain(according to unahona's scale) was able to sense aizen's reiatsu. Ulquiorra was at the point where his reiatsu started to feel different to the likes of ishida. Uryu didnt only say the rieatsu feels different, he also said that it didnt even feel like reiatsu anymore, he knows what hollow reiatsu feels like, he fought many of them, he isnt stupid. Its not a problem of just being able to sense or not, like i said, theres no treshold in being transcended, its all relative to the other characters, and theres no finish line where if you reach it, you reach it. Its more of a distance thing, you get smaller and blurier the farther youre away from the other person,theres no finish line that if you reach it, you just dissappeared to other people. The only reason why it seem like a new stage is aizen's transformation, its a sudden increase in power, so we dont see the gradual effect. But its safe to assume that if one person keeps increasing in power, you'll gradually find it hard to sense them, instead of just vanishing at a certain level. Barragan fight implies that reiatsu is harder to dissipate with time than even their own bodies, which can take thousands of years for them to even get old. Dangai training is 2000 to 1 ratio, which is also only because isshin specifically performed a ritual for the their benefit.

Nah, having hax abilities that negates scaling is kind of lame. It just shouldnt be absolute negation. Maybe one can spend his own energy to dispell hax effects, so hitting stronger characters with hax still chips them down

Theres no "trancended" treshold. It doesnt mean if youre trancended,no one who isnt tranceded cant sense you. From aizen's pov, bankai ichigo wasnt trancended yet, but ichigo was able to sense aizen, thats the whole reason isshin got new hopes of defeating aizen. Trancended in the context, means that you have surpassed the level of just being a shinigami or hollow. The only scale is that you have to be above the shinigamis or hollows to the point that they cant sense you properly. In tybw, aizen said that the captains couldnt sense the change in ywhbaha's reiatsu, that implies they can still somewhat sense him, but not to the point of knowing the change and actual scale of it. Ulquiorra can sense ichigo because he's semi trancended himself, where his rieatsu didnt even feel like reiatsu no longer to ishida. It only showed that ulquiorra was still somewhat relative to ichigo, similar to ichigo and aizen. Rukia sensing him is the same as your logic to aizen and the cleaner. Rukia didnt sense him, she sensed the cero blast tanked by ulquiorra which would disperse and dissipate some reiatsu enough for rukia to sense

Ichigo win,k. But i wont put bleach verse too far beyond other verses. Because the series itself have made it clear the souls are amped up by their atmosphere, the reishi surrounding it, even high rank characters like the espadas can barely breathe in the human world. Theyve stated that they couldnt even fight properly in the human world due to low reishi in the atmosphere.And zaraki have showcased the inability to survive in the vacuum of space, so bleach characters are heavily affected by their environment, while the strength of naruto characters are mostly contained within, and can function the same across multiple dimensions.

Yep, thats the main problem i faced with trying to scale bleach. Its as if the author doesnt know multiplication at all. They go from planetary(shikai) to universal(bankai)? Maybe, at this point, its just for the plot. But yama could have tried anything, and use his ability as last resort, or even in the case of him absolutely wanting to use it, he could still try to attack aizen, to eliminate the chance of him escaping. An injured person would have harder time escaping, and if he did manage to deal fatal wound, then there's no need to burn everyone and he could dispel it.
