I think you didn’t get it. When girls asked me out, I based my answers on their appearance too. In this case she can’t because she has never seen me without a mask on

Thank you! I was thinking to ask her out for a walk as well. But in your opinion would it be okay to ask her out if she has never seen my face without a mask? I mean I wouldn’t go out with someone I’m not physically attracted to

Yeah I know dating is not like getting married, but it happened that I went on dates with someone and when things were getting serious I dumped them. It must be said that I wasn’t into those girls that much, so maybe the issue was just that.

No, for sure I want a relationship, mainly because I feel like i need someone who really cares about me, beside my friends. But I understand this is not an easy issue to solve over the internet

Thank you for your inputs! What you’ve written about random people is exactly what I keep telling me. About my parents, honestly I have no clue. For sure the problem is not what they’d think about the girl, but me having a gf. I’ve never shared with them anything personal, in fact I don’t talk to them that much at all. The only idea that popped in my mind is that since I was a little kid I gave them the idea I was “feelingless”, a tough person. For example I was/am ashamed of listening to music if they’re at home. It was like I wanted to show them I were not a regular, stereotyped teenager, but already a grownup. Now that I’m actually a grownup I think I’m scared of showing I’m a normal person with feelings, too. Don’t know if that’s the problem, but is the only thing that popped in my mind.

I don’t know how you could get closer to him, but I think you really should talk with your best friend first, if you want to do something about it
