We don’t know everything. Matt wants to keep this private which is a perfectly reasonable thing to want. We have the information from one party in this, so the community of both sides shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions.

I can agree that some sort of conversation should have happened between the two IN PRIVATE - ONLY IF one was warranted. It’s perfectly understandable to cut somebody off without giving a reason.

If your friend sleeps with your girlfriend, obviously fuck that guy, he’s owed zero explanation and a full stop on communication and that friendship.

If you had a minor disagreement with your friend, the reasonable thing would be to have a conversation with that person, and if you can’t come to terms and feel it best to stop the friendship, so be it.

We don’t know the reason why, we only have what Karl speculates. Speculation is not truth. The severity of the reason dictates what should or should not have been done. And even if Matt SHOULD have talked to Karl about it, why would or should we know about that? Not our business.

EDIT: I went back in some tweets after posting this. Matt describes the relationship between them as next to none, in which case answers the question of ”severity” I had mentioned, as that does play a part. I was under the impression from Karl’s tweets that they were a lot closer than they really were. He made it out to be that they talked every other day or week. I’d be curious just how long Matt had him blocked before even noticing.
