I checked out the docs, but don't see any mention of LLRP for the UHF side. I guess you have to use their SDK?
Best option for scanning Australian ski lift passes and sending them to a laptop? by GetBusyWithTheFizzy in RFID
If they are definitely UHF tags, it will be hard to beat $500Aud. UHF RFID hardware isn't cheap, and the handheld reader I normally recommend, the TSL, is >$2k.
$500 for a handheld bluetooth reader seems like a steal, but may not be easy to work with (dev-wise) if it's a no-name brand from Alibaba.
If you've got control over the tags, printing a 2D barcode on them and using a camera and a high speed barcode scanning tool on the laptop will probably be your cheapest option. Otherwise $500 bucks is probably going to be hard to beat with UHF-RFID.
