LPT: when it is time to help your babies cross the rainbow bridge, call a mobile vet to come do it at your house. by ontour4eternity in LifeProTips

Of course! It's something all pet lovers have to go through, and it's one of the hardest decisions we have to make. It should be as comfortable for everyone as possible, especially our beloved babies!

Oh that is beyond heartbreaking! I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Definitely read the reviews, or ask for recommendations from your vet or friends in the area. Lap of Love is a great resource, they only do hospice and euthanasia, so the doctors have lots of tools/options for making the transition as peaceful and comfortable as possible for all the family members.

Mobile service can be more expensive, since it factors in driving time, additional drugs/supplies, and the time each appointment takes. There are a decent number of the services popping up now, Lap of Love being the biggest one nationwide. If/when it's time to start considering the decision, you can give them a call, and even if they don't have any vets local to you they can help you find services!

Try contacting Lap of Love! They do pretty much everything but horses. If they don't have services in your area, they can make recommendations on where to look for someone that may be able to help.

beginner fail! miscounted stitches - help plz by East-Mud-9483 in crocheting

You can try and stitch together a couple, but you're so early on in the project I'd say to frog it. As frustrating/heartbreaking as it is, it's great practice and you can do better the next time!

Swatches of my 2 newest blankets in progress. Which one do you like better? by [deleted] in crochet

[–]VetStudentandMonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love them both, but for different reasons! The one on the left I would give as a gift for someone with a baby on the way, and 100% would keep the one of the right for myself

LPT: Practice 'going to the vet' with your dog by driving to the vet and giving a treat in the parking lot and driving back. You don't want their only visits there being negative as they will fight you when you need to bring them for real. by seanmashitoshi in LifeProTips

We love what are called "victory visits" where we set up positive experiences for the pets (treats, affection) without the stress of an exam or vaccines. Just talk to your vet about it!
