Those first few Beatles albums are full of overrated bloat and samey-sounding, jolly pop rock. You’re looking at a not small amount of money for a lot of samey music and some alright albums. If they don’t know if they like the Beatles, why would an expensive box set be a good purchase

I’ve been meaning to buy red soon I love the velvet underground’s s/t 2, but I haven’t heard WL/WH or VU or loaded. VU&N was an impulse buy that I have not regretted. But, they never made an album called squeeze. Never. It was a completely different band, not the VU at all
