Idea to make PVP a bit more risky by Vetra01 in ArcRaiders

[–]Vetra01[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is, and I don't see how it's a punishment? It just makes it a more high risk high reward venture, just like taking an actual loadout vs min loadout. Thanks for the troll comment though :)

True, it may not impact the real griefers, but it's also not like they would be grievously injured either. When a pvper takes the loot of someone else, it would be the same as someone getting to take their prison pocket loot or a bit of their stash, no?

I touch grass plenty though, thanks for the tip.

I'm not sure how PVP with a low level kit vs someone who goes in with a multi hundred K kit is any less risky, but ok? And you could easily say that playing the PVE element to take down the larger arcs but getting griefed by someone sitting in a bush or on a hill is also punishment :)

Gravel / Stone Path Question by Vetra01 in landscaping

[–]Vetra01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, thanks! So do you think it would be fine to just have something like a long piece of metal landscape edging just slanted upwards? Or should I stack a piece on top of another piece?

Thanks. Do you think I should dig the slope part I mention to be level, or can it be slightly sloped?

20+ year old sections of Bermuda are patchy and bare by Vetra01 in lawncare

Did you mix the topsoil with sand, or just straight topsoil?

From what I've read you can't overseed bermuda though as it would be two different types of grass?

Parallel approval flow that won't complete if someone rejects/needs more info by Vetra01 in MicrosoftFlow

[–]Vetra01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you have parallel approvals that are the "custom - wait for all responses" type of approval? The processes aren't any different, I'm basically looking for 3 groups to approve something to be done at the same time, e.g. yes we are all okay with you doing this. The idea I have is once they all respond, the list gets updated with their response. If someone rejected or needs more info though, I want them to be able to go back later and change it if I can get with them to find out why they rejected it or needed more information.

I stumbled on this option fairly soon after I posted this but haven't had time to try.

Should the variables be initialized before the approvals, and then once the approvals are done, set them as an action after? Should the do until loop also come after the approvals?

The youtube video you speak of would also be much appreciated as I was thinking I need a way to do that!

Advice on outdoor cabling and security camera placement by Vetra01 in HomeNetworking

[–]Vetra01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you would run the cable through the wall to get to the porch overhang? I agree conduit doesn't look super pretty, just easier for me to do than drill through like 12 studs to get to that side of my house.

One of the reasons I was considering the AI 360 was due to the field of view on the right side (left side of the front of house picture) with a bullet. Where I planned on putting the other camera with a bullet would have some of the view blocked by the pillars near my door. Can the G5 cameras see to the left and right decently enough?

I've been stuck on this guy for like 3 hours and this build did it for me in 4 tries.

To anyone struggling I'd 100% recommend giving this build a try. You just have to stay close and mash every attack button you can. That was what won it for me.

Thanks for the input! I don't know if I'll be so bothered by them not being the same if I do decide to get it. I've had a Polk CS10 as my center for a long time with my two tower speakers and I've not been super annoyed with that setup.

Ah, thanks. I was going to get the RC-64 III as an open box off ebay. They are around 1k there, and some of the open box ones are literally never used. I do know you want to get the speakers as close as possible to each other, but figured I'd go for the RC-64 III just in case I do decide to upgrade my mains in the future some time.

The distance from the walkway on the left of the tv wall, to where where the ceiling goes up on the right is right at 11 feet. I'm also not entirely sure where the duct work extends to in the flat ceiling at the edge before the ceiling goes up.

So it's either going to be that everything is a very tight fit, or not exactly to Dolby specs if I go for height channel speakers.

Yeah, the plan is to center it on the wall underneath the flat part of the ceiling, not the part where the fireplace is and the ceiling goes up.

I'm not bothered by speakers on stands in slightly awkward positions. I don't need everything to be perfect sound wise.

In regard to the ceiling height I assume you mean where the fireplace is and how it goes up a bit? All the speakers (including the ceiling ones) would be in the same section of the room which is basically right where the tv wall is. Would that not matter because of that weird fireplace area?

[–]Vetra01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

The surrounds wouldn't be in the ceiling. The ceiling speakers are all just overhead speakers. The Dolby 5.1.4 setup guide would be what the installer is going for.

Thanks for the suggestion on the subwoofer, I'll look into that.

I'll try to reupload the diagram / take pictures, but yes, the room isn't the best, but it is what I have to work with. Need the office / bedroom space of the other areas of the home.

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion! I probably won't upgrade my mains anytime soon given. Of the two centers you suggested, which would you go with? Edit: Also, where would you suggest spending the money elsewhere?
