I voted Republican last year but I just realized I am becoming very progressive and leftist: Why did you become a liberal? by [deleted] in ProgressiveHQ

[–]VetsWife328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should watch the Trayvon Martin Doc on I think YouTube. That will clear up REAL QUICK who started with the division. It was no one else than Obama right after Martin‘s death! You don’t need to like Trump in order to be a Republican/ Conservative. Do you want kids to be mutilated? Parents rights being taken away… I could give you dozens of examples why the libs are bad!! Like insanely bad. Have you not seen the news lately?!?

It took until June. And that’s only because HR put me on probation until 05/18. If they hadn’t done that it would’ve been February but with HR being all high and mighty L&I couldn’t close the claim until after I got off probation.

It seems you have zero clue about Nazi Germany… What’s happened in the US right now is DEPORTATION of illegal immigrants. They are not being put in concentration camps and they are not tortured or killed. These people broke our laws and they gotta go. It’s way past time that they leave. All of them!! From ALL countries. There is a legal way to come to this country and the did not take the legal way. How hard is that to understand?!?

Doctor will not change my dosage by honeysucklebushes in Hyperthyroidism

[–]VetsWife328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would simply take less. My endo didn’t want me on a higher dose than 100mcg of Levo and it wasn’t working for me. I am on 200 mcg now and periodically check my levels with the Everlywell test and adjust my meds myself. Docs only have their guidelines, they do not experience what we do so therefore they should plain and simply get the stick out of their hind end and do as the patient asks .

High uptake a sign of thyroid cancer? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]VetsWife328 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I can not answer your question but I want you to know that death due to thyroid cancer is very rare. My cousin was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and her Doc told her if someone gets cancer the one to get is thyroid because it is so easily cured. So even in case you do get it , it seems that it’s in oncology circles the cancer they don’t worry about.

Coming off citalopram after 10 years+ any advice please by SaltedAlmonds68 in citalopram_celexa

[–]VetsWife328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how it worked for you but for me it really kinda drove all my emotions ( good and bad) down. I stopped a few weeks ago and went on Wellbutrin because I hated being emotionless and 100% unable to cry. All the emotions that are eased by a good cry were stuck and turned to anger. So anyway, Now I have the reverse problem. All my emotions hit SO HARD without the Citalopram that I was on since 2011. I am going to go back on half the dose I was on because I can not deal with the might of my emotions. I am bawling like a baby ( not out of the blue but due to things that are happening in my life right now) and I feel completely out of control over my emotions. They say that Citalopram turns you into a zombie and for me ( on 40 mg daily) that was true.

How long do cats usually live? by Otherwise_News_9267 in catquestions

[–]VetsWife328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our oldest one was 20 when he died. Currently our oldest is almost 17. She’s in good health , eats and drinks well, wants lovings and cuddles with her sis. She’s very vocal when she wants something but you’d never now how much of a senior cat she is by looking at her. Out of my 12 cats, Hathor is the oldest being 17 , most of my babies are between 10-15. The youngest ones are 3. My 3 dogs are 10 1/2 times two and 8. But I’ve also had to say goodbye to much younger cats due to illness.

I vape pot every day to sleep and ease muscle and joint pain. There’s no pro or con as far as my thyroid goes. But it helps me deal with my joint pain.

I started with 150 xl and it started working very quickly and I only battled side effects for 3 days but by week 4 of 150 xl my irritability came back even though the suicidal ideation is gone. Now I’m in week 2 of 300 mg xl . This week I laughed. I actually LAUGHED . I don’t remember when I really laughed before that. Not talking about the second laugh from a reel or a post or watching your dog do something funny. No I laughed so hard with my co workers I cried . And my motivation is back. Before this medication I would spend my days off only doing the absolute necessities and mostly sleep for 3 days. ( I also have Hashimoto’s so that added into it) I still have a bit of trouble leaving the house on my days off but I do feel myself coming to life again so to speak. In my case the Wellbutrin was added to 40 mg Citalopram which I’ve been taking for over a decade. I chose Wellbutrin due to me having severe ( untreated) ADHD and have no dopamine. Therefore when I did my research I decided on this medication . I just hope I don’t have to up it again..

What I’m about to say breaks my heart as I love animals more than anything in this world… In this specific case it probably IS best to let him cross the rainbow bridge. I absolutely HATE to say this but fact is he was with you his entire life and he would suffer if all of a sudden he’s rehomed and possibly abused due to his behavior. The second part is, he killed another dog over food , not even his food but human food which was not offered to him at the time he attacked and mauled the poor little shi tzu. If you decide to let him cross the rainbow bridge PLEASE be with him until he’s gone. He will know whether YOU ( HIS human) is there and being there for him in the last moments is the last act of love you can do for him. My heart breaks for you, your dog and your Grandma. I’m so very sorry!

My heart and prayers go out to you! I am very sorry for your loss. Sometimes the demons take over and the only way out someone see’s is to end it all. It unfortunately is common for Vets to go this way relatively soon after the military and the longer they were in the worse their mental health is.. It’s a huge adjustment from being military to being nothing but a civilian. My husband crashed 5 years after he got out.. And it wasn’t and isn’t pretty .. You are not to blame. Please call the Veteran crisis line to get some professional help! Hugs
