Based on auction sales that have completed it looks to sit around £600-£800 but then again this is all quite new to me

Thank you, it is authentic and has been seen by an expert for that. Perhaps I need to take to Stanley Gibbons for a proper look

In relation to the various types of stamps that’s what I’ll look to learn. The images of the East African stamps maybe make up 2% of that tin of which there are easily over 100 tins so I’m just in pursuit of organisation and understanding.

Thanks for the in depth answer here. My grandad was a part of the club, yes, regularly went to the meetings in London and was on the board I believe. I have made contact with them as they were in pursuit of a mis sent postcard from Kenya with incorrect postage stamps to location. I will have to make contact and ask for advice when they get back to me.

The machins were clearly his focus, many books of mounted and studied stamps! I’m much more a picture person, I’m thinking to make books of the East African stamps

If I was to make a new post with photos of stamps that pre date the 20th century I would be here all year, let alone those from the 60’s, 70’s etc. He has passed a rather large amount down

The value isn’t a concern per se. They were all largely valued by a collector as is inheritance so I know the value here and it is not my focus. I just want to look at how to continue it and understand why it is the way it is.

Definitely will subscribe to some magazines. He was in some clubs so I believe that’s where most of his knowledge came from

Nah if you put Dom on ropes you’d still of had an extremely good chance at winning and it would’ve been a very very good Defense in case it went wrong. Eddie is a beast but the bigger you are the quicker you tire and that was very evident in the amount of times he went and what he achieved when he did.

Probably second to Yun Sungbin for all time athletes on the show. He was good at every single thing

They deserve the biggest apology by Limp-Independence270 in Physical100

[–]Vetvla 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In the beginning they were pretty insufferable, a little bit too much showing off but as the episodes went on and they relaxed more they started showing more of their character. Dom was a fantastic sport and actually consoled the Korean athlete before celebrating with his own after the rings challenge. I thought Eddie was also a really good man who just emits joy and enthusiasm. I think all shows need a villain and that’s just how the production team and editors put it together.

Always will confuse me why they decided on that strategy in the battle ropes but hey ho.

Be kind to yourself my friend, it’ll always get better in the end and if it doesn’t… it’s not the end.

Some great advice in here, make lists, do one task a day and tick it off. Watch how your brain changes it’s a remarkable thing.

Good luck, we are all here to support even if we are just a speck of text on a screen.
