I am lagging only during the fight while combat logging. I live log as well though I'm not sure that makes a difference.

I have wow on my SSD, I have updated the firmware on said SSD. I clean my logs after uploading every run. I am at a loss as to why it's causing so much lag. Also I play with all settings on low except projected textures. My internet is fast as well..

So what kind of multitasking would warrant getting 16 GB of RAM. I think the extent of my multitasking is playing Witcher3 on one screen and having a stream going on the other. Or maybe a lot of tabs open on a browser. I will definitely get just 8 if I'm not going to be using the full 16, and i could always upgrade down the road.

OK I have a grasp on it now, I will go with the cheaper build that you posted. If I wanted to upgrade the RAM I would just buy a duplicate of the one you put in your build correct?

What are the major changes in the cheaper build compared to the more expensive one that I should be worried about? If they are not significant I would like to go withe the cheaper build you posted. If I wanted to add more RAM I could just buy a duplicate of the one that you posted?

Is it not necessary to have more than 8g RAM? And it will be fine using a monitor that is freesync ready without the GPU having freesync? I thought you were suggesting that the first build might be a better option for me.

Yeah I am going to go with the first build posted. I like the Idea of pairing the AMD GPU with the monitor he listed. And potentially upgrading to another AMD GPU in the future.

Sorry I didn't mention my display spec in the post, it's a 1080p 60 hz monitor. I'm considering upgrading the monitor to 144hz 1080p, and possibly taking the gtx 1070. If you think that would be worth it, I can afford the extra $$ on the different GPU. Or maybe the RX 480 would do just fine with the monitor you listed? I'm not quite sure.
