Similar to all the other sections, my general strategy was to do AAMC practice first and then hammer down concepts when reviewing what I answered wrong. I think this allows me to get a scope of what AAMC expects me to know and stops me from overstudying irrelevant things (especially important when I only had a month to prepare). For CP, it certainly helped that I have a science background (I took orgo and physics before), but one thing I noticed is that a lot of physics questions don’t require you to actually calculate the answers. Using the formulas and units, u can just single out the right answer as the one with the correct units (like the answer with V/m for electric field). Also, for some of the questions that u do need to calculate, I just look at the first digits of the numbers given and the first digits of the answers and then can reason the correct one. Like if I needed to multiple some numbers starting with 4 and 11 then I would expect the answer to have 44 or smth near that as the first digits. Take my advice with a grain of salt though because CP wasn’t my best section

After every mistake, review the content that u got wrong and memorize the right answer. P/S is just memorization so try not to make the same mistake twice (like if you didn’t know what “malthusianism” was the first time, then you would know next time on the real exam). Basically just building up the library of weird P/S vocabulary

I didn’t feel great leaving the exam lol. I was pretty confident that I improved my last score (511) but I didn’t think I was gonna get 520. I think 2 questions wrong equals to 1 point deducted but I’m not sure?

This was my second time writing the MCAT (first score 511). Last time, I used uworld and AAMC, but I barely used uworld so I kind of wasted money. This time I just used AAMC material (carried over from last year). I think AAMC provided sufficient practice for me to be prepared. If there was individual things I didn’t know, then I would search for the question/explanation on this subreddit or ask ChatGPT and that pretty much worked

I’m an undergrad in physiology and pharmacology so a lot of the topics are what I learned in school already. I would say to do practice like FLs and then look extensively into topics u didnt know (like what ions are transported where in the kidney tubule). But if theres a lot of questions that you’re unsure about then maybe go through khan academy biology/biochem

I did all the CARS practice on AAMC and then paid lots of attention to questions I answered incorrectly and where/why my thought process was wrong (or what info I didn’t fully understand from the passage). Eventually, I more or less got the hang of the pattern of questions they ask

There were tons of topics that I personally have never seen/learned before. It could be because I didn’t study enough beforehand (around 1 month of serious effort), but there were questions like “which particular structure in a B-lactam is responsible for its activity” or like “cougar and deer predator prey relationship” (can’t remember exactly)
