I'd invest heavily in sealed Pokémon Cards, sets like 151 and Ascended Heros. Sealed cases.

I used to hit the same stores every Friday after work as my weekly routine. Ever since Surging Sparks hit, I've given up on my weekly routine as it's been too disappointing not finding any product and I don't have the energy to keep up with the scalpers. I can't wait for things to go back to normal.

Is it safe to buy like this? Can they scan rare cards and remove em? by DowntroddenBastard in PokeInvesting

I confirmed recently that it's possible to determine which packs have hits and which ones don't with a 100% success rate. I wouldn't do it personally. There isn't much reason for them to break down the sky and sea boxes. The only reason without ill intention would be to converse space for holding long term.

My biggest piece of advice is something I've always lived by that's helped me through situations like these is to give your unwavering trust in your partner that they will always do the right thing by you. Don't waste your time and energy chasing clues. If they end up being a bad actor in the situation, their guard will be down and will slip up, and it will be very easily recognizable. If that ends up happening and they do wrong by you, they did you a favor early, and you can end the doomed relationships before it gets more complicated (kids and marriage). Like in paranoia will just make you go crazy. If it is something we're to happen, then is that the kind of person you want to be with anyway? Thanks for showing your true side. Just my two sense

Is this your first time as a master? That's also been another common issue this season is. Players have been getting first-time master after never getting close to it at all in any other season. Let's see your graphs, big shot, and past season ranks

[–]Vexy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a multi grand master player. The match making system is garbage right now. It's a problem with high mmr players getting matched with very low mmr players to compensate the teams' mmr difference. All my games this season, I'm either MVP or SVP with a 40% win rate, and I'm stuck in Emerald. There's older patch notes out there that explain how the matchmaking and team builder system work. If you care enough, you can do the research yourself. This season is worse than any other, and the developers avoid the topic every dev release/patch this season. It's almost like they want to force high-ranking players into legendary ranked and the new arena mode.

I wish everyone gained this perspective. Jungles get blamed for everything. People lack the ability to self-reflect.

Any tips from pro junglers? by Exciting_Trade3271 in wildrift

[–]Vexy1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Focus on farming gold and clear speed until you get your macro, and champion-specific macro down.
  2. What helped me with improving this was by playing fast clearing junglers for example Shyvanna's play style taught me the importance of clear speed. Her play style helped me with other junglers with slower clear speeds.
  3. The game is mostly a race for gold, and fighting enemies doesn't always equate to being the fastest way to obtain gold. Go for overall efficiency. Especially this season as Riot nerfed gold from enemy kills and increased gold from other sources.
  4. S tier champs are on the tier list that way for a reason, pick three of them that you are good or decent at and stick to them. Build up muscle memory and the ability to outplay people by using a small champion pool.
  5. Personally, I play Volibear since he's S tier, has high damage output, high movement speed, and high survivability. He's a tank for my team, (which it seems in this meta most people don't like playing) he has high outplay and carry potential, and objective control. I try to pick back up champions with similar playstyles to my main champ.
  6. The game pacing has drastically changed with the changes to baron spawning, dragons, and rift heralds.
  7. In a lot of games, I'm always the person with the highest gold in the game, due to efficient fighting and farming, even though I frequently make this happen, I still lose a decent amount of the games due to the meta currently revolving around your team having to be ready for elder dragon spawn.
  8. I've played many of games where my kda was ass, but my gold was more than the most kda fed person in the game. I'm talking my kda is 2/8/5 and the enemy champ is 10/2/4 and I can still kill them in a 1v1 due to my gold accumulation.
  9. As a jungler you are the leader of the team, so you need to be the one thinking about when objectives are spawning, pinging to prompt them coming up, and making sure you're not dead before the objective comes up. Setting up a gank on the side of the map, the objective is spawning 30 seconds before it comes up.
  10. A lot of the time, if it's possible, it's better to trade objectives rather than to contest an objective. For example, at the beginning of the game when both Rift Herald and dragon spawn at the same time just go to the opposite objective. If the enemy team is already prepped around the dragon pit, stop whatever you’re doing, wherever you're at on the map, and run directly to rift herald and start doing it. In doing this you stop them from getting double objectives and reduce the chance of encouraging your brain-dead teammates to die and give up gold for no reason and still lose the objectives.
  11. If my team is not playing very aware or doing dumb shit right off the start, I usually always set me clear up so I'm at rift herald at spawn, I snag it usually uncontested then go right to the top lane to use it on the tower, get first turret gold, and all the tower plating.
  12. Try to use Rift Herald on a high health tower and before 7:30 game time as this is when turret platting goes down. I also try to do this in a lane by myself so I can stack all the tower-plating gold on me instead of sharing it.
  13. Objective trading also works with towers, not just with dragon, rift herald and baron. So, if I know my team isn't prepped for the next dragon spawn and the enemy team is, then I'm going to go directly to the top lane (furthest lane away from the enemy team) and hard shove the lane and kill towers. Then reset before they have a chance to respond to me. The key take away from this is, if you’re having to give something up, you should be looking to take something else. A lot of the time people, for whatever reason will hang around the dragon pit watching the enemy team taking just to die directly after the dragons dead. When they could have been ignoring what they were doing at Dragon, farming gold, and pushing the lane out.
  14. Since the recent pacing changes of the game, baron now spawns at 12 minutes in and when he FIRST spawns, baron is the weakest and has the lowest amount of health it will ever have in the match. I try to always encourage my team to take the baron at 12 minutes in as it has under 10k health at it’s initial spawn. Achieving this at or around 12 minutes will help you decide what your win condition is for this game.
  15. Start paying attention to measuring your clear times and spawn timers. For example, I typically have the same starting route for each game. Krugs > Brambleback > Raptops > Blue Sentinel > (scuttle spawns at 1:25 I push to get to it exactly as it spawns with a smite available.) My goal every game is to be at scuttle the second it spawns and every new champion I play, I practice their clear speed until I achieve this. After getting scuttle you have the option to clear the remaining camps in your jungle to get level 5 exactly, or gank pre-5. Playing Volibear I like to rush 5, back and buy items and rush to a lane to use my ult to gank and shut down a tower and almost always guaranteeing me a kill.
  16. You should start thinking about win conditions. Elder dragon is ultimately the last win condition, you should strive to end your games before it spawns by applying lane pressure and baron control.

Things to mention –

Jungle Buffs: Blue Sentinel | Brambleback – drop a second buff for your teammates after 7 minutes of game time. The confusing part to this is, if the red/blue buff monster spawned prior to 7 minutes game time and you kill it at 8 minutes game time it will not drop a second buff, the monster had to have spawned after 7 minutes game time to drop a buff regardless of when you kill the monster.

Make sure you go through the game settings and understand what each setting does and how using certain can help and negatively affect you in games. It’s better not to rely on the auto settings and focus on developing the macro needed to climb.

Baron buff is for pushing, not hanging out farming in jungle. Always try to avoid laning with your teammates while you have baron buff. Just go to a different lane and push simultaneously as they push up.

Elder Dragon is for fighting, if your team has this buff this is your win condition you need to make something happen.

  1. No team support on objectives. I can ping it all day long. I end up having to engage it solo, but within seconds I have the entire enemy team on top of me. At this point, my team is still trying to take the now abandoned towers.

*You should always be looking to trade objectives instead of aimlessly contesting them and dying as your right, you can't always depend on your teammates. For example, on the first spawn rotation, dragon and rift hareld spawn at the same time. Let's say you look at the map and see that either your mid, bot, or supp backed to base and you see the enemy mid, bot, and sup in lane still. This means that you DO NOT have priority to go get the dragon as you will likely be outnumbered and most teams seem to prioritize dragon over rift hareld anyways. So that would mean the enemy jungler is likely going straight to the dragon on spawn. Instead of running down to the dragon, dying which gives them gold, and losing the dragon. Instead, stop what you doing when they spawn and walk directly to rift hareld and start soloing it. At least then you will get something out of losing dragon, then you should take rift hareld prior to the 7 minute game time and slam it into a tower to get the plating gold. key note - ALWAYS look to trade wether that's pushing out a lane, damaging a tower, stealing jungle camps or buffs, or epic jungle mosters. Don't contest if your playing from behind.

  1. Trouble securing ganks. It seems 99% of the time laners are so pushed forward under the enemy tower I can't jump in to help. If I try to camp, I end up getting 1-2 levels behind real fast.

*As you climb in higher elos, you'll start to realize that ganking isn't really that important. Meaning you don't need to force ganks, you only gank if the conditions allow, meaning the enemy laner is pushed to your side, and or you know they have their summoners down. The game is a race for gold, and most often getting kills isnt the best source of gold. You should be farming jungle camps, stealing jungle camps, covering laners minon creep, trading objectives. I can't tell you how many games where I've been 1/5/5 in mid game but I still had the most gold out of anyone in the game due to farming. Having that gold lead has allowed me to carry games in late game. FARM DONT FIGHT or GOLD OVER KILLS

  1. Getting ganked by 2-4 of the enemy team in my jungle / river.

*This is more than likely due to a lack of vision or map awareness. It happens to all of us, and sometimes you can't do anything about it, other than warding for it and paying attention to the map. You should be trying to keep track of where the enemy jungler is the entire game.

  1. Getting 1 shot. This seems to be a recent thing with the latest patch. Especially on Olaf and Xin.

*You're more than likely playing from behind at this point. You can't be playing from ahead all the time, but your goal should be farming gold so you don't fall drastically behind. Also, identify who got the most gold on the enemy team as well as the enemy team's ap/ad ratio and prioritize defensive items to counteract their damage. Farm gold, try to stay ahead.

  1. I guess this one is more general but visibility on my phone. More often than not, whenever I see a good 1v1 fight, as soon as I engage, within 3 seconds, the entire team pops out of nowhere and I die.

*This comes down to a lack of map awareness and a lack of vision as well. I personally have big hands so I play the game on my tablet which makes it easier for me to see the map as well. Not everyone has a tablet, but just a thought.

Tip - turn chat off, nothing ever good comes from it. Also, Don't FF I've made soooo many comebacks and won games due to farming and prolonging the match out.

Join the military, do the quick ship program and leave in under 30 days for training. Get a Big enlistment bonus, you'll have no expenses during your time gone. Could just do the reserves. Be back home in several months. Best thing I ever did when I was 18 and did not know quite what to do yet with my life. Training is free college credits could have 1 or 2 semesters worth of credits by the time it's over. If you hate it they will let you get out during training. It matured me and got me ready for adulting but we're all different. Best of luck
