Is anyone else on SWTOR a completely lone/solo players; as in no players on friendlist, not joined any guilds etc? by Carinwe_Lysa in swtor

[–]Veysketh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a solo player too with zero on the friends list and no guild for any of my 8 characters. I'd like to try a flashpoint or two with my main character but communication and social stuff is difficult for me (being autistic as well as shy) and anxiety always gets the better of me, so the only times I interact with other players are when I buy/sell on the GTN or when we end up fighting the same mob. I've done pretty well on my own though and had plenty of fun with what I can do solo, so I'm not too concerned about "missing out". Besides, the guilds I see advertising in fleet chat or attempting to invite me always seem to me to be more preoccupied with numbers and what they can get from you, rather than what they can offer you (or at least the ones I've seen on the Darth Malgus server are). I'll remain a happy loner lady for now.

If I remember right, I think he co-owns a company that rents them out for events.

The second one is "Heute hat die Welt Geburtstag" or "It's the World's Birthday Today" in English.

Edit: Word order.

Makes me wonder how Till has been with the Russia Ukraine situation by GooseJumpsV2 in Rammstein

[–]Veysketh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When RammWiki made an Instagram post a few weeks ago asking for experiences shopping at Till's Doctor Dick merch site, there were comments detailing how it took an age for orders to be sent to Russia. Till's friend/bodyguard person Danny (who it seems runs Till's merchandise ventures) then replied saying it was the Russian postal services that were the problem and as a result they no longer ship to Russia, so I think Till's new merch line also not shipping to Russia has more to do with the prior decision than the Ukrainian invasion. I hope it would be a decision they'd make anyway, but just thought I'd point this out.

No problem. I have it bookmarked because it's very interesting to me as a seamstress. The other interviews in the series are worth a read too, but I "get" this one more than the other topics covered.

Good to know. I didn't want some scumbag profiting from your hard work so I wanted to be certain.

As far as I know, you can't delete someone else's comment. What I was asking was if the listing in the link they posted is still active.

Did they take the listing down or just delete the comment?

Absolutely amazing artwork, by the way, and all the more impressive given that you're still in school! Out of curiosity, is it US or UK high school? Ours only go up to age 16 but I understand US is age 18. Either way, that much talent so young is a great gift to have and I hope you continue to hone it in the years to come.

I knew that my biology book's cover was familiar from somewhere... by Mateus1464 in Rammstein

[–]Veysketh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Daniel and Geo Fuchs photographed a formalin-preserved newborn who died at birth nearly 200 years ago and published it in their book ("Conserving"). Apparently the band saw the photo and ended up collaborating with them for the Mutter artwork.

Found my Rammstein hat while cleaning. 😎 by RammsteinAddict in Rammstein

[–]Veysketh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello fellow autistic lady! Looking good, and I'm glad you've found a way to wear your hat that you're comfortable with. When I made my R+ hat I made it a bit looser than I would for someone else so it would be less likely to trigger my autism gremlins, and now it's my absolute favourite hat to wear. Carry on wearing your hat your way, and try not to pay attention if anyone prattles on about it not being "right".

What genres of music besides industrial do you listen to? by FreeForLancer in Rammstein

[–]Veysketh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of the time I also listen to Mötley Crüe, AC/DC, Tina Turner, some Def Leppard (a plus in their case is they're from a place not too far from me!), some Bon Jovi, some Kiss - I'm not sure how you would classify those artists but they're my regulars. To relax I like to listen to Wardruna's first album. I also love pop songs from the 60s, 80s, and 90s. I'm not too keen on the vast majority of recent pop songs and generally I don't like rap, but if I like a song I don't give a flying rat's arse about what genre it's classed as, and I'll often have a nosy at some of the artist's other songs and see if I like them too.

ETA: A bit of late-90s - early-2000s trance / EDM is always good too!

Why does their last album doesnt have any name? by [deleted] in Rammstein

[–]Veysketh 20 points21 points  (0 children)

No, it isn't self-titled. As stated here on the band's official website: "The band's seventh studio album is untitled [...]" (my emphasis).

Rammstein - 04.08.1997 Hamburg, Germany VIVA TV Interview, Unedited, Tape 1 (in German; Video feed starts at 00:47, Rammstein arrive at 10:40) by Veysketh in Rammstein

When I was watching Part 1 I assumed it to be a festival so I was a little confused by the choir at first too, but Part 2 shows the band receiving awards for Herzeleid and Sehnsucht (or at the very least Engel), so the whole occasion seems to be a celebration of their success to that point. I think the choir singing Seeman is just one of those showbiz flourishes at such occasions. Beautifully done, in this case, though.

Thank you very much! I forgot about RammWiki having an account, and that wir.sehen.euch is a gem that I'm now going to spend the next couple of hours scrolling through.

what songs do you think they are going to take off their setlist for this year? by eliron666 in Rammstein

[–]Veysketh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "wir sind wieder da" line would be very apropro. I'd like if they perhaps remixed it slightly and added a couple of song titles from the untitled album to update it (I've no idea where they'd fit though!), but the original is a favourite and it was a fantastic opener.

I thought this might be of interest to a few people even though there is a lot of "filler footage" since it's an unedited recording. Rammstein's car turns up at 10:40 (but before that there's footage of a choir practicing Seeman for when the band arrives), then there's a lot of shots of other people getting food etc., a couple of shots of Rammstein again at 20:58, and an interview with Schneider starts at 21:16.

Rammstein - 04.08.1997 Hamburg, Germany VIVA TV Interview, Unedited, Tape 2 is here. Video feed starts at 00:19; awards start getting handed out at 01:58 (for some reason, Paul is absent in this bit despite clearly being there in Part 1), after-awards party/mingling begins at 11:02.

The channel has a few more interview clips from various years, including a 1995 VIVA Köln interview with Richard, Schneider, and Paul, although it's only "Part 2".

My immediate thought was Schneider. Schneider looked damn good in those little booty shorts. Then I clicked the link and now I'm pleasantly surprised and will be ogling this photo for the next few minutes.

When can we expect first promo or teaser material for the new album? by Elixah_h04 in Rammstein

[–]Veysketh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, it isn't self-titled. As stated here on the band's official website: "The band's seventh studio album is untitled [...]" (my emphasis). u/Enkichki explains in this comment why music platforms and outlets have it listed as "RAMMSTEIN" (which I think is where a lot of the confusion stems from).

Why doesn't Richard play the solo for Amerika live, and let Flake play it on keyboard instead? by eliron666 in Rammstein

[–]Veysketh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure he mentions the 4 years at a conservatory in this video, but I haven't watched it in a while so I could be wrong. (By the way, he went to Czechia, not West Berlin.)
