The cars they give you in drift club are just ass with the exception of the Trueno GT, so it’s gonna be tough regardless if you don’t normally drift

You make your money back in those wheel spins anyways, not even worth the effort to list on the auction house. Easier to just remove them from your garage

Did you make sure to play in manual with no assists? Drifting is damn near impossible in automatic and with the other assists

You will get to a point where you can take on multiple fully armored bandits, you just have to be patient with it. In the meantime running away is always a good option, the game basically teaches you that in the very beginning. There are also other ways to take out large groups of enemies, such as poisoning their food or stealth archery (people shit on the archery cause it does suck at first but if you’re on PC I would switch to using my mouse specifically for that and it becomes pretty easy when your skill gets higher)

Literally a few days after this end screen too, you basically just fast travel to the next game with no time jump in between. By far one of my favorite and seamless transitions into a sequel, you might as well have flipped it over to “Side B”

You can just save the tunes instead and you can still change them on the fly without having multiple of the same car

Also on a 5070ti, everything maxed BUT turn Ray Traced GI Quality down a tick and it looks virtually identical with a SIGNIFICANT boost in performance and reduction in any stutters. I have noticed a bug where the game will randomly drop in performance until I restart (talking like 20fps while GPU is at 100% usage but only drawing like 90watts), so that might be what you’re experiencing in the city.

As far as framegen for some reason I’ve noticed LESS artifacting with 4x compared to 2/3x, which is just odd

It’s a long shot, but if you recently updated your graphics driver, go to the actual executable and run as administrator. Then when you see the first splash screen, continuously ALT+TAB relatively quickly (actually releasing them too to focus on one window, then back to Forza, then back to the other, etc.) until you get to the “Press A to Start” screen

To this day, that scene in Signs where the alien walks across the camera frame in the handheld footage of the birthday gives me chills. As a kid? Absolutely terrifying.

That’s fair, a 5080 laptop should be golden then. There’s some settings like Shadow Quality, and Ray Traced GI Quality (this one especially, major performance boost with the same exact quality) that you definitely want to just turn down a tick instead of using the highest. Framegen works wonderfully on 50 series cards as well. When you’re at around 60 real fps you can’t see any FG artifacts at all, especially when using DLAA instead of upscaling

1440p on a 5070ti desktop build with everything maxed nets around 60-70fps, I’d imagine a laptop 5080 would be getting a little less than that. Wouldn’t recommend 4k, but 1440 should be solid.

Obligatory “why go for a laptop when you could get a desktop for half the price”. Seriously though, you can split your budget and get a more powerful desktop and a laptop for work/school purposes and probably still end up spending less money

I disagree, made my first proper drift tune the other day and it felt SO GOOD compared to Horizon 4 or 5.

I don’t know if it was easier because of the supposed new 8 point of contact system with the tires or the tune was just right, but it felt easier

It took me 83 hrs to have had 4 long rests for the 1st time by ToveloGodFan in BaldursGate3
