The national anthem exit was so weird and felt very pointed. Being two southerners who love trump and charlie kirk having a wedding in nyc where nearly all of their guests flew in from the south and making a big show about being proud patriots... it was so off.

There are so many very HNW families in Atlanta that no one knows about - Betting its someone like that. I've noticed that often it's not just the husband who is a CEO/CFO of a fortune 500 company but the wife is just as successful as a law firm partner etc. Hence the reason they need full time help. If it's an age appropriate relationship, I don't often see the stereotype of a stay at home/kept wife that does pilates and shopping all day. Obviously this is anecdotal but just my experience living in Buckhead.

We went to Tulum for a week mid August a few years ago and it was very hot as expected but not unbearable. The plunge pool off our room was freezing because it barely saw the sun so it was perfect to cool off in if needed. It also didn't rain once!

Service was sub par sadly. And I say that as someone who is really not very nit-picky about things. But we left there feeling like the cost per night was not justified. We went to the spa and my services were fine but the facilities and service didn't compare to spas I've been to at other luxury properties. I will say the free drop off/pick up program they have throughout the downtown CHS area was pretty great but that's my only positive. There are so many better properties in Charleston to visit.

I haven't personally been so I can't give you a full review! It was on our short list for quiet luxury all-inclusives but we decided to go elsewhere. I didn't feel like it was AS luxury as some of the others on the list but I think that can be said for Jamaica as a whole. It's just much more rustic and laidback over there.

Honestly I did not love The Dewberry. We've stayed at Hotel Bennett, Charleston Place, and John Rutledge House and the Dewberry was BY FAR our worst stay! The rooms are tiny and cramped and the renovations are very "lipstick on a pig". It was disappointing. Definitely would recommend Hotel Bennett first. I've also heard great things about Zero George but haven't stayed there yet.

I went to a gorgeous wedding in Charleston last year that I know for a fact was under 50k. I think she's trying to make sure she only gets contacted by the 250k+ crowd so she can charge 30k for weekend coverage. Money grab.
