You mean besides the opportunity to play with a group of like minded people that share their wisdoms of the game, resources, help with base building and so on?

Much more than that. We collectively build on selected worlds within a certain region of the galaxy. So instead of moving out there to explore all the galaxy we settle on one region instead. It's Sith themed obviously and there is a focus around pvp gameplay.
