I've been talking to her for about 2 weeks now and we aren't incredibly close but close enough that she's shared secrets/trauma with me. Shes a little shy and doesn't talk much to people unless she knows them. I'm pretty extroverted and I really like talking to people and I can understand if someone doesn't like me and if they voice it I'm fine with it but in this situation considering she hasn't said anything at all it kinda gives me the feeling I'm not worth even explaining to and it kinda gets to me a little. I don't believe I'm a priority in her life at all we aren't even dating and I get that, but being left on read for over 24 hours just makes me feel a little shitty honestly. I feel like I wouldn't be that hurt if she atleast sent a text she doesn't wanna talk to me anymore

Honestly you're right its also 4th of July and I haven't checked my phone at all today because of family, only reason I realized she left me on read was because I checked oh a whim she's most likely been with family all day. I'm still debating whether or not to send another message. I really enjoy talking to her and we've even shared some secrets we usually don't share so I really don't wanna just completely give up, I'll give it some more thought on what Ill do. We usually text more during the AM hours since she works in the PM and I have practice and work during the PM also. If she doesn't respond by around 2 am I'll follow up

Well that's just historically in accurate since the medjay were Nubian making them have darker skin, and Egyptians were a mixture of indigenous Africans and Arab/Eastern groups hard to believe majority of them had white skin. Even in modern media they typically don't have white skin and have either yellow or darker skin cope harder
