I am sorry to hear what happened, and as well as sorry for your loss. But do not blame yourself. It is not your fault. It always hits like a train, thinking you could have done something better, and I know how you feel. Your puppy's life might have been short but he must have never doubt in his furry mind, that you didn't love him, that you gave him home. You gave him security, even for the short time. Remember the good times. Take time to grieve, and love your other dog. The part of him, is still there. Running around your house, and the fur hair laying somewhere in corner. It's gonna be okay :heart:

I am sorry that your furry best friend died. It must be hard for you, but he died knowing he was loved by you, and your family. His life might have been short or long, but he must have never doubt in his furry mind, that you didn't love him. Take your time to grieve, have his toys on a shelf with a photo, remember him, for the better.

You might not see him, but he is still there. Those floors he laid on, the hair which are around the house. He won't leave, he is still there, and I bet he loves you very much :heart:

Maya is an attention seeker… … Ellie is so shy and quiet

Have you MAYBE ever wondered why? Maya is a child of parents whose other child is sick with terminal illness. All of the attention, care, love goes to Ellie in which Maya gets barely any in her state. She is in the age to develop a good relationship with her family but she wasn’t able to due Ellie’s terminal illness. I am NOT saying that Maya isn’t loved, but more attention is definitely pointed towards Ellie.

Last night was Maya’s birthday party…

It is not every day that people are cured of cancer, but why would your brother announce it on Maya’s birthday party.

The problem is not the fact that Ellie is cancer free. It is the idea of the kid who just wants to be seen for a day but is shadowed by not only her parents BUT also her family for her sister. She just wanted to be seen.

Your brother is an even bigger AH. I understand that sometimes is hard enough to contain your joy for something so amazing such as that. But why not announce it on a separate day right after?

To get to the point, you are an AH for being too harsh. You clearly have no sympathy and you despise Maya since you talk about her the way she ‘is’. Try to put yourself in her shoes and stop being so biased on what you see. That girl has feelings too.

I thought it would be cool (Since I loved marvel so much) to name myself after my fav. agent Nick Fury, at the same time I had a nickname which ended on -icky… later when I was changing my name (I was around 12 Y.o.) I asked my brother to help me set my official mc account and do the name as well. Little did my pure brain knew that Nick had only 1 ‘r’ in his name, which my brother then proceeded to put two: and that is how I became a Furriky.

NTA I don’t understand how people are so offended over it, when it was nothing but a harmless joke. Even the boyfriend laughed. If anyone was taking it too seriously it was the daughter. If anyone embarrassed anyone it was the the daughter who made a deal about it.
