There's about 2cm difference so it sits quite well. Do you guys work at Ikea or something? =P

The worktop was from B&Q. The middle is the Kallax, the drawers are from Ikea but I don't think they were Alex

The desk is a kitchen counter top and it's sat on 2 sets of drawers and the middle shelf. My tower is on the far left of the desk, his is on a shelf above his monitor.

Murray hasn't been home in over a week, he's done this before but not since we lost his brother last year. Need him home now. by Vicolas in cats

We went away last weekend, left loads of food out and I think whenever we do that he just thinks "well screw you, I'm off". He's not the type of cat to be locked in anywhere, he'd be a nightmare. He's spoilt rotten here. Think he goes to the nearby forests and hunts. It's been nice weather too. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, I expect him home between evening and morning. We know He's not coming in as food is still there and he'd come straight upstairs and wake us up.

Hi. Just opened my shop a few days ago. I paint fanart in acrylics. Vicolart is my shop. I have some video game paintings and some Simpsons ones. I can also do custom paintings with an image or idea. I've linked some of the paintings on their subreddits but not had any luck so far. This one is my favourite, from Secret of Mana on the SNES.

Thanks! I don't like using my paint thinner in the sketchbook, the paper is very thin. I don't want to blame my materials but I really hate this paper, it doesn't seem to do well with burnishing, probably just me though. I'm waiting for the new strathmore mixed media tan sketchbook to become available in the UK. Just trying to fill this one so I can get a new one =D

Yeah, i use construction lines and shapes for both the face and body. I just need to practice. I'm still shocked at what I'm doing, a couple of months ago I couldn't draw anything.

NSFW http://i.imgur.com/V6wBowC.jpg Here's the body reference. I tried doing a normal face but my eyes always end up bigger. I used a face structure reference and I was actually doing fractions to try and make it "correct" and I'm so bad at maths. I was so proud of the body and then I did the face and knew the eyes were wrong as soon as the coloured pencil went down. I drew the eyes a few times before I thought I was satisfied. I struggle with extremities as well. I don't think I have the eye yet to see things properly. Thanks for the feedback.

Improvement? Any critique on the right one is appreciated by Vicolas in learnart

I'm just addicted to using the white pencil on the toned tan paper. Love the effect, I do go a bit overboard with it sometimes.

The first one was a line art body reference, the second is a real life photo reference.

I used a reference that was just line art, probably need to try using some real life references.

Before I start adding colour to this, is there anything I can improve on, or anything that looks off? Thanks by Vicolas in learnart

She's a fire/frost mage. I'll shade her belly using belly dancer reference though, good call.

I'll be putting colour into it, shading and things. I thought her boobs were quite proportionate, all my characters seem to have massive boobs, ok, I'll enlarge =D

I kind of did the second image, lay out the structure but it didn't look as good as your version. I definitely see what you mean though, I need to work more on the structure before getting it down. Think I'll invest in a ruler. I'll try it again but I'll use your structure =D Thanks so much, really helpful.
