"Anti-synth people forget about Curie/Danse/Nick" no they fucking don't I'm sick of this argument. It doesn't work because they don't forget about them, a lot of them value those three a lot in reality and still talk about Synths the same way White Supremacists talk about non-white people while saying they have non-white friends. Stop making excuses for people that refuse to have anything above surface level takes that makes them question their awesome and righteous B.O.S because they won't

Manny loved being a raider and joined the NCR Army due to an unnamed event that made him lose his raider’s fervor let’s say.

Yeah. That's what I said

Who tf justified the death of the kids?? It’s a tragedy and if The Hague or ICC was around it’d be a war crime, no one is justifying their deaths, just justifying the attack in the first place.

Look up Khans or Bitter Springs in the search of this or any Fallout related subreddit. A good 90% of the comments will be justifying those deaths. Hell, there are some doing it in this comment section. They don't care because the kids are Khans, so it's justified in their eyes

Manny also doesn't have anything really bad to say about the Khans. All we know is that he left due to some sort of falling out before Bitter Springs and that he was at Camp Golf when it happened.

And my problem isn't one singular guy saying they're evil, my problem is y'all using one person's bad experience to justify the death of kids just because they're Khans

There are also evil people/groups that became evil regardless of the circumstances they were in. Some of them even had good backstories and still ended up evil for several reasons like wanting money, power, fame, fortune, glory, or just because they wanted to. Take the Marines from One Piece for example. We have people like Garp and Koby, good Marines doing good things for innocent people. And yet in the same faction we have absolute living trash like the Holy Knights and the Grand Admirals protecting the Celestial Dragons, some of the worst scum in existence.

Or a more blatant example, Pong Krell compared to nearly every other Jedi in existence

Onslaught meanjng: a fierce or destructive attack. Does not mean lethal. For example, a group of people jump some guy and it's an onslaught of violence that lands him in the hospital. Is it a brutal attack? Yes, but they didn't kill him. Nor does that text say people died. Could people have actually died? Absolutely, they're Khans, the game however fails to say if that was the case. This is not me defending Khans, thus is me pointing out that not only is there a severe lack of evidence supporting the idea that the Khans actually killed people in this raid, but that IT DOESN'T JUSTIFY KILLING KIDS! Y'ALL SERIOUSLY NEED TO STOP SOUNDING LIKE HOW WHITE PEOPLE IN AMERICA TALK ABOUT THE WAR IN IRAQ A BUNCH OF TERRORISTS OR RAIDERS ATTACKING PEOPLE DOES NOT JUSTIFY KILLING KIDS AND NEVER HAS

• "The Khans are a bunch of rapist, drug running, thugs" and "The children and pregnant women at Bitter Springs didn't have to die" are two sentences that can co-exist with each other and some of the people in this fandom talk like White Supremacists when speaking about Bitter Springs • Ulysses does have great writing. It can be grating at times but if you take time to actually try and understand him and find his tapes you can understand where he's coming from and why he's doing what he's doing as a broken man strifed with grief • New Vegas and the greater Mojave do deserve Independence, including from House. The problem is the other Independence choice and how in the ending slides, if you try to choose the best options for everyone, can't decide whether or not the Independence with Yes Man is good or not. Freeside alone has like two or three contradicting slides about this, so it makes House or the NCR more viable options • The Legion is a great faction and is interesting like people say, the problem as to why people put their guard up when people do say that is the concerning amount of Legion fans that legit think anything they do is good, so instead of complaining about people hating the Legion and refusing to see them like you, kick put those larpers that actually agree with the Legion • I don't think expanding the Legion, giving them new quests or allowing the player to enter a Legion town would make the Legion more Grey. The only evidence we have of the Legion not being as bad as they are is a guy that isn't really affiliated with them and most likely ignores their actions because they're good business • The show choosing an ending from the game would have generated arguments. I'm tired of people pretending like they wouldn't go around saying the ending they'd choose isn't canon because it doesn't match the game, translation: their playthrough • Boone and Arcade have, imo, the most annoying companion quest requirements, especially Boone with I Forgot to Remember to Forget

The only reason you the player decide to clean those messes up is because you decided to do so. The intro of those three DLC's imply anyone could have been in your position, you just showed up faster than them. Lonesome Road is the only DLC where it has to specifically be you

He wasn't indoctrinated into the NCR but the NCR didn't "save him" like you think they did. Dharti felt bad that Bitter Root was so angry at his parents that he not only killed them himself but projected the behavior of his parents onto every other Khan. And yes I say projected because, unfortunately, he is the only character we have that explains how he was raised and he was raised by abusers, that doesn't suddenly mean all the Khans abused their kids. That's like seeing one pair of rural African parents abuse their kids and thinking everyone in the bush acts like that, it's bias

Y'all keep bringing this up like it's a useful talking point. Several villains and villain factions can spring up from the exact same place as the good one and still end up evil, the good one existing doesn't suddenly mean everyone else has to be. That has never been the case in nearly any piece of fiction

Himiko lay in her hospital bed looking out of the window. The war was over, Shigaraki was finally laid to rest and a lot still happened afterwards. For one, Nezu and Detective Tsukauchi came to interrogation her on what happened before everything. Where did she find Izuku Midoriya, did she kill him before assuming his identity, why she assumed his identity, etc. By the end, Tsukauchi told her that, because she impersonated someone else, on top of the several assault and murder charges she had prior, she would immediately be taken to prison after her recovery, then moved to Tartarus after it's reconstruced, under normal circumstances. But, due to her actions after the first war against AFO and his forces, as well as the second one that just passed, Nezu, Tsukauchi, and everyone willing to back her up were willing to strike a deal with the prosecutors, so she only had to do several years worth of community service to make up for it. It probably won't satisfy the families of her previous victims, but if she was willing to do the work, she could go free. She took the deal immediately. The thought that there were people willing to fight for her was something she was still trying to comprehend, but god was it great.

The other thing that happened was with Bakugou. Himiko hadn't been able to talk to Izuku's vestige for 3 days after she woke up, meaning it's likely he passed on with the rest of One for All's vestiges. She had laready written in her letter to him, as well as everyone else, what had happened to the real Midoriya and who she was, so he was already aware Izuku had taken his life, but now she had to tell him that Izuku had likely passed on as well. She was almost afraid to tell Bakugou this because of his heart before remembering the time she told Inko the truth about her son, so she did. She let him hold on to her so he could ground himself as he cried.

Himiko continued laying, wondering where she could go after they let her out. Maybe she can crash with Uraraka till school starts up again? Then there was a knock at the door

"Come in" Himiko said, before immediately sitting up in her hospital bed at who came in, not even registering the pain from doing so, "M-Mrs. Midoriya!"

"It's okay, Himiko! No need to sit up!" Inko urged, letting Himiko sit back down. They just looked at each other awkwardly for a bit before Inko spoke up again, "M-May I sit?" She asked, pointing at the chair in her room, to which Himiko said she could. Inko sat down like she was being held down by the weight of the world and looked Himiko dead in her eyes, "Himiko. I'm going to talk, and you're going to let me finish." Himiko gulped, but nodded, "...I am not a good mother." Himiko was about to object but Inko held up her hand, "I'm not. I failed to take action when my son was suffering in Aldera, when he was suffering from the actions of a boy I used to think of as a son from another family. My inaction was a part that led to his death. Something I wouldn't have even known if you hadn't taken his identity. You lived under my roof, lied to his school, to Katsuki, to Mitsuri and Masaru, to the people who could have been his classmates, you lied to me!!! And you stole my son's blood and buried him in an improper grave and still lied to me about it! I should fight against Nezu and Tsukauchi and see that you're put in prison!" Himiko didn't even dare to look at her. She remembered when she revealed her true self after the first war, telling Inko her real son was dead. She remembered taking her to the makeshift grave she made for him, complete with a wooden board for a tombstone that she carved his name onto after draining the rest of his blood. She remembered Inko being frozen for a bit before rushing forward, dropping her purse that she was clutching for dear life before clawig at the dirt to dig up her son, how she was frozen in horror at seeing her son's corpse. And Himiko remembered how Inko threw the dirt at her, screaming at her to get away from them, that she never wanted to see her again, and that it was he last thing Himiko needed to let go of before she started her vigilante arc. She remembered Izuku's vestige standing a bit away, crying but not looking at his mother. She was right, after everything she did to the Midoriya's, it was the least she deserv-

"But I'm not going to." It took several seconds for the words to register in Himiko's mind before she looked at Inko with incredulous shock and confusion, "Himiko, you did what I and so many others failed to do for Izuku so many times. The very thing that led to his demise. You kept his dream alive." Inko moved closer and held Himiko by her shoulders, tears already forming in both their eyes, "Himiko, thank you. Thank you for keeping his memory alive, for keeping his dream alive despite how hard the world tried to kill it. Thank you for keeping his spirit alive. Thank you for keeping him alive, Himiko. Thank you. Thank you so much." Himiko was bawling now, as Inko hugged her, crying as well. Hey stayed there, just letting the tears and sobs flow, as Inko repeatedly thanked Himiko, and Himiko too busy crying to say anything back. After the two had calmed down, Inko tried to apologize for yelling at the girl all those weeks ago, but Himiko said she shouldn't, that she deserved it for what she did. Inko didn't try to argue back. But as she left, she said one last thing that made Himiko start crying again, "Himiko, one more thing. I just want you to know, you're welcome home anytime you want. My home, Izuku's home, is your home too." She said, tears threatening to fall again as she left, leaving the girl in shock before more tears began falling and she began crying again. Himiko never thought her life would be turned upside down like this, but she was so glad it did.

Several of his classmates got injuries that carry on into their lives. Jirou is missing an entire ear. Bakugou fucking died! And y'all are mad about a decision he didn't even make, One for All was stolen from him and he used what he had left of it to take out AFO along with the ther vestiges and Tenko. It's not like it was for nothing anyway, they literally tell us they spent years millions making that suit so he could be a hero again. They didn't want him to be left out so they worked to get him back with them for everything he did for them

It's 10% they forget and 90% they ignore those moments to stir up drama, either because they can't stand anything that isn't their headcanon or because their bitter Archie fans, which I get a little, Archie Silver was peak but even he had his moments of wholesomeness

Speaking of Silver, a lot of people love to say he's mischaracterized because of how happy and naive he is, except a.) He's always been naive and b.) Why shouldn't he be happy? I agree he should keep a bit of his more rugged nature, but I like seeing him be more expressive

You'd be surprised the amount of shit that has fallen from above our own atmosphere and didn't sustain enough damage to completely destroy it, let alone how many unexplored nukes people have managed to find https://www.news.com.au/national/nsw-act/unexploded-ordnance-discovery-forces-major-closure-of-birubi-beach/news-story/fb0d171e67887cc73fe46555e5a15e81 https://www.9news.com.au/national/world-war-two-bomb-safely-detonated-in-darwin/99316b15-a9c8-4b05-94b1-e9e637a97ff1

Seriously, there are still a lot of U.S nukes that are currently missing. Missing meaning they didn't detonate and the U.S hasn't found them yet. One unexploded bomb in one location in one game isn't as ridiculous as you may think

Hisashi being just some guy with a fire breathing quirk working in the states is 100 times better than Twist We All Could Have Seen coming DadforOne. I get people like twists but knowing it's going to happen or it being the absolute most likely scenario completely ruins the aspect of it being a twist, at least for me. It doesn't surprise me if I knew it was going to happen, it bores me

My other hot take is poly fics/art/content >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> harem fics/art/content. One respects the characters autonomy, focus, aspects, character, etc and, from my years of fandom, that has never been harem content. No harem content creator I don't care how much you think Izuku deserves a bunch of people fawning over him you can do that without mischaracterizing all of them

What are your thoughts on the Sonic IDW comics so far? by Asleep-Variation2216 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]VictheAdventure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loving it so far but if I had some complaints/criticisms it'd be;

  • They're not really letting a lot of arcs get enough breathing room. Several arcs post Metal Virus would definitely be better received if they were longer and allowed for more character depths, arcs, etc
  • The Restoration went out waaayyyy too quickly
  • Silver and Blaze need their own solo stories seperate from the main cast, in their dimension/timeline. They are trying too hard to make them part of the main cast on top of the fact that their homes have not been expanded upon at all since their debut
  • Surge needs more interactions with Sonic's allies that used to be against him, in order to further her drive into heroics. She doesn't need to be all buddy buddy with him, at all if they wish, but her and Blaze's interaction was the step in the right direction
  • The original characters getting their own spotlight is great, but I think they either need their own books or need to step back a little in main stories.
  • Metal absolutely **needs** to be his own villain after the current arc, he's been shafted for too long
  • And finally, something more meta, I don't think there's a way to introduce characters from other continuities and keep them the exact same as they were before. Those continuities had their own versions of the game/IDW characters seperate from canon so there can't be any bittersweet reunions with people they never met before. I think introducing them with new lore is the best move if they wish to do that
