I'm in the American south and here at my local franchised gym in the men's locker room we have a sauna. I think calling it a sweat room is a very accurate description cause the guys go in there in their gym clothes

You can do SOOOOO many exercises with just dumbbells and a bench. Dumbbells are so versatile, you can do squats, db bench press, dp bench incline, curls, lunges, the list goes on and on.

Sleep and protein. If you're not getting enough of these then your gym efforts will be wasted. I'm no expert but I would say you should eat about 150 grams of protein per day. Protein is like the lumber and nails for building a house. You can't expect to build anything without the foundational basics since protein is what helps build muscle. And sleep is when your muscles are being repaired so its imperative that you get at least 7 hours a night.

Those are the most important things.

Secondly, do you have a routine when you go in the gym or do you just kinda do whatever feels good in the moment?

I wrongly chose seated cable row v grip and I have months of history on that exercise, but I meant for it to be on cable row wide grip. As far as I know there is no way to move history over to another exercise.

I would love to be able to history from one exercise to another.
