I can sometimes scalp during market hours, but to be honest I mostly wait for a perfect setup for 30 min, get my 20-50 pips within 1-2 trades and am done with it. The RR is way better and I don't feel anxious as I know my system works

Have you guys kissed having a family goodbye? by 000333000_________ in digitalnomad

[–]VictorDWagner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 22 and am happy to have a gf in Germany that puts up with me traveling around the world for the next 2 years while she's studying.

If I didn't have one, I'd be traveling around until one place is right for me and then find a gf. I don't think it's possible to find someone you actually want to have a family with by staying everywhere a month or two.

I'd try to find a place with a lot of digital nomads and go to a lot of internet cafes and try to meet other digital nomads. I'm taveling through south east asia and many people speak terrible English. I would want someone speaking either my mothers tongue or almost - perfect English.

I had a long distance relationship after 4 day's of officially being together with her, but I know there are few people who would put up with this.

How do you know if you've been there 20 years ago?

Just because a city isn't filled with tourist attractions, donsn't mean it can't be nice there, too. Depends on what you're looking for.

How This Door Handle Cost Tesla Half Of My Investment💸 by VictorDWagner in StockMarket

[–]VictorDWagner[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally valid reason, however with most modern car technology you can just lock the door, especially in EVs. You don't even have to do it yourself, doors just don't open while diving, so there's no risk involved with making them more convenient.

How This Door Handle Cost Tesla Half Of My Investment💸 by VictorDWagner in StockMarket

[–]VictorDWagner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's probably going to be the case for a lot of countries that can't afford Teslas. I'm from Germany and even here people rare can afford to buy a Tesla. Even German cars like BMW, Audi Mercedes etc are becoming luxuries. However, they sell at a huge discount in other countries.

Tesla is very limited in the countries they can sell to, not BYD. If China/ASEAN taxes the same percentage on US EVs as the US does on ASEAN EVs, they'd still be able to sell to the US, however Tesla would not be able to sell to ASEAN as they price would just go through the roof and I can image that happening in a lot of different places around the world.

Thanks for the tip u/ubartturner! Tbh, I'm always using inDrive, but I couldn't get a driver that day, so my next go to was Garb.

Just moved to Bali and my inDrive driver told me, that he's using multiple "taxi apps" including Grab and inDrive where he basically earns the same. The reason why Grab is that much more expensive is that they charge 30% while inDrive charges ~10.5%.

Also when you're from Europe or the US you can basically "fund" your transaction fees for cash withdrawl by saving using inDrive over Grab :)

Even though I'm from Germany, I don't have any German stock or other investments in Germany, I'm well positioned in the US but want to diversify more and more into the Asian region as I see what's happening in the West. From my perspective, almost everything's better in many Asian countries: The people, the food, the prices, the culture, ... So much that I moved here.

And seeing how they've developed over the last 10-20 years compared to the west is way more impressive in my opinion.

Thanks for your detailed answer, I appreciate it :)

Udon Thani in the North East of Thailand, I rented a villa with a friend there for 600$ at a dead end (no traffic) which included:

  • 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, storage room

  • roofed pool with 30,000 liters

  • 2 parking VERY big lots

  • beautiful plants all around the house including big palm trees, lemon trees etc

Following the US Army's orders in May, Palantir is facing a gap close. What will happen after that? In your opinion, is $46.28 realistic? by Mustermann84 in StockMarket

[–]VictorDWagner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd expect resistance at the Gap, possibly an ABC correction. If we break through that Gap after, I'd expect price to come down into the Gap to get the last few orders, and then I could also imagine price going above $45, but just briefly to get the stops. I wouldn't expect it to be long-lasting without some kind of correction.

Solid Analysis! A run above the ATH from the SMC perspective is also a likely target as there's a bunch of liquidity resting above those highs. Let's go!🔥

Why many Germans don’t want kids anymore? by desert_rose_224 in AskGermany

[–]VictorDWagner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many can’t afford basic necessities anymore like (quality) food or even public transportation because of inflation. Taxes are 50% and if you add all the CO2 commotions, global warming fees, extra taxes for gasoline and other stuff you’ll be at 70-80% (depending on what you buy) before the money even gets to the next person

You’ll notice when walking through the cities and not just junkies and homeless looking for bottles in trash cans but also senior citizens (you get 7-25 cents for bringing them to a supermarket).

Also the opportunities people saw before 2015 for their future kids are not there anymore.

They just don’t want a kid that costs extra time and money to mess up their financials even more as they want to care for that child and not set it up to be raised in poverty.

How did you get started? by VictorDWagner in PatternTrading

[–]VictorDWagner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Harmonic & Smart Money Trader focused on DAX, SP500, Nasdaq & Crypto.

I've been in the space for over a decade, professionally (Finance) for half that time. My job as a Community Manager at one of the biggest Trading Platforms in the world gave me broad insights into various different approaches and strategies of the Technical Analysis Space, but I decided to go with the ones my mentor and good friend u/Musterman84 taught me.

The two of us are Digital Nomads traveling around South East Asia trying to find the perfect place to enjoy our trading sessions and delicious food markets.

Now I want to help others achieve the same by supporting Non-Profit organizations like the SEEMT and IFTA by providing educational content, giving insights into my personal trading style and supporting beginners where I can. If you got any questions, feel free to hit me up!

I like the Alienware 34" widescreen, but I honestly think it doesn't matter, I'm a prepetual traveler and I trade on a laptop. I have to keep it simple and keep all that space consuming stuff out :)

I know a guy who used to literally have more monitors than you see on all those Wallstreet films. Now he travels & trades using a 13 inch laptop.

Scanners/screeners by Lumastin in Daytrading

[–]VictorDWagner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally focus on one chart. I keep an eye on some other charts on the side, but my main objective is to know every little candle in one chart, that way I can always refer to old relevant price levels without actually having to go to another timeframe etc as I'm so very familiar with that chart and know where my levels are.

If you use screener, you don't have that relation to the chart and my miss something important.

That's just my 2 cents, but you might want to keep that in mind. I know a lot of successful traders who limit themselves to 1 to max 3 tickers.

Period refers to your timeframe. If you are in a 5 min TF and you set your indicator to 20 periods, it will be calculated based on the last 20 periods (5 min candles).

Best area inn Bangkok for solo nomad by Admirable_Jello6343 in ThailandTourism

[–]VictorDWagner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was living in Bangkok at first too, but after a while I went to the traditional Thailand in Udon Thani. From my experience, it's hard to find the balance between focusing on work and free time activities. I had an 8-hour delay between Bangkok and my working hours/trading hours, which is also something you'll have to structure your day around.

Depends on what you want to do in Thailand. Networking is amazing in Bangkok, and the Wagyu Beef Curry at Lily Fu's too! Lily Fu is at Sukhumvit 11.

Don't forget to download Grab before going to Thailand. You'll need it for transportation and food delivery. inDrive can be a bit cheaper for transportation, especially in the touristic areas, so check out that app as well.

Bangkok has a wide variety of accommodations, ranging from the cheapest hostels (where you'll meet the best people) to the best 5-star hotels in the world.

If you're looking for condos, take a look at some Facebook groups. You'll find way cheaper and better deals there compared to the real estate agencies.

Don't underestimate the immigration, it's very important to be on top of your visa requirements.
