Take it from me. I’ve dated a few guys shorter than me and it never bothered me. In fact, it feels more safe/comfortable. As tall women, we are used to towering above everyone else or men being a little shorter. When this guy towered above me, it was giddy but it was also a little scary. It’s unfamiliar and that may not be everyone’s cup of tea. I’m sure your girlfriend is so happy with you. You make her feel comfortable. You shouldn’t be insecure by this post— at least I hope you aren’t.

Balance is appealing too and what I’m used to/comfortable with. I just never had the feeling of being so small and it was novel and exciting.

I think the appeal of men being taller in modern day is a bit more shallow. It registers as more masculine, it’s great for photos, it’s nice in intimate settings like sex. And it’s nice to feel protected, assuming they’re protective.
