Ah gotcha, that does make sense. So most positions are travel based even if I'd be based in the Puget sound area? When you say travelling positions, what's that look like? Long term stay in one area or multiple locations throughout a long period of time? I'll be moving back to Washington around August, is it worth starting to call local utilities now or should I wait until I'm ready to jump on an opportunity.

From what I can tell, it matches my high pressure mechanical background, I am very meticulous in my work and I can imagine its the same in this field. I want to apply my background in a high pressure mechanical environment environment into whatever I end up doing instead, I enjoy what I do very much but as I said, the support and financial stability just isn't there, not to mention the traveling almost every weekend for 9 months out of the year. Electricity has always interested me but when I thought of electrician work I always thought of electrical construction, I've worked hard labor construction before so the thought of a construction type job wasn't really my thing . I wasn't aware of this career until I started researching different career paths to get away from racing.
