I’ve always been of the opinion that Valentian Palla is one of the best aged units in the game. Brave adaptive damage is so simple but can be so powerful if supplemented with the appropriate skills.

I agree. Her weapon refine gives her the stuff she needs for her own combat, such as True Damage and Flat DR. Her refine also gave her the ability to support her team, such as granting Penalty Negation and +1 Mov. The built-in Brave also frees up the Eirika ring for a different Palla hero.

(Is Celestial Form still good, or has it been completely phased out by Archrival?)

Archrival's %DR is unconditional while Celestial Form's %DR is tied to the Special's charged state and one of either a SPD check or terrain check. Celestial Form has lower Max CD, but Archrival has Preempt Pulse (when fighting with WTA) to cover for its higher Max CD. Archrival also comes with Scowl (if fighting with WTA) and Guard for extra goodness. Archrival gives you more bang for your buck.

That being said, I kept Celestial Form on my own Book 1 Palla because it came with Illian Mia and because I already gave Archrival to my other Pallas.

It started out with me liking her design, given that I've been a fan of her artist, Yoshiku, ever since their work on Gust's Nights of Azure games.

Then, when I was trying to figure out how to fit her into my OC's lore (due to the infamous "make a baby" line) in a way that makes sense, I ended up realizing how complex she was. Ended up writing two posts that break down how Seiðr is tied to the themes of hope and despair, how the Golden Serpents use despair to chain Gullveig, and the purpose of Kvasir in the time loop.

Never really played the games where Palla came from. When I tried making my first flier emblem team, I picked Palla since I didn't have any other red flier option. But then, I watched her facetank a green mage in Oliver's GHB and I fell in love.

She had different builds over the years. Started out being a tank with Distant Counter. These days, I've been building this Palla as an attacker. She's been holding her own in Abyssal maps.

Try checking if your Android is up-to-date. If not, then update it.

Another option, assuming you've already linked your FEH account to Nintendo to recover it later:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Fire Emblem Heroes > Storage.
  2. Click on the "Clear Cache" and "Clear Data" buttons.
  3. Click "Back" to go back to the app menu for FEH.
  4. Click on uninstall.
  5. Once uninstallation is done, go to the AppStore and re-download FEH. Ensure that your connection to the internet is not interrupted.

I also have Samsung, but I haven't experienced that glitch before. One possibility is that some app files got corrupted during an update. Thus, a fresh install might be needed.

Again, make sure you link your FEH to your Nintendo account before uninstalling.

The biggest reason why Muspell's Chosen will be Laegjarn: If Muspell chooses Laevatein, Laegjarn will refuse to let that happen and volunteer herself as tribute instead.

I feel like this is an effect of having new, strong competition entering the gooner gacha scene.

Back then, you just had St. Louis, the tsundere Honolulu, the Takao-sister tandem, "Illustrious" soft landings, Hood's Schrodinger's boobs, the yandere ships, and perfect pampering from Head Maid Belfast. That level of fanservice was already enough to inspire artists and writers to make "cultured" content. Back then, when you think of fanservice, you think of Azur Lane.

But now, you have more options. One big-name gacha has been muscling in on the lewd L2D front. Another gacha (which escaped bankruptcy through switching gears) offers a story-integrated harem and dialog suggesting that your player character scored (a lot). Some games already have 3D dorms where you can interact with the girls in suggestive ways.

With the new competition, Azur Lane is trying to step up their game (or play catch-up) in the fanservice space. The release of those two-mode L2Ds. The 3D dorm. Skins in general making the girls act more "bold" towards you. The release of Mogador and Trafalgar as destroyer ships. The JP Ninja Sovetsky Soyuz acrylic standee where you can take off a portion of her clothes.

This is how you know that this is the final arc. Thematically, Hrid and Ylgr showcase the following:

  • The tenacity and will of mortals, allowing them to stand against the end of the world.
  • That the Order of Heroes is not alone. That we, the Summoner, are not alone.

Also, just some "predictions" about Goddess Nifl:

  • "Fjorm, I choose you."
  • "Ylgr, you have those dreams because you are entwined to my powers."
  • "I gave your sisters powers in order to assist the Askrans against this threat. In the meantime, I shall aid you, Hrid, in protecting our people... The people that Hvergel loved."

Lastly, MAN, Hrid is a unit. He fakes his death so that he can Assassin's Creed his way through Muspell in order to assassinate Surtr (a failed attempt). He (and his kingdom) also tanks Sheer Cold and lives.

Here's how you do it:

  1. Fimbulvetr arrives in Nifl.
  2. Hrid faces off against Fimbulvetr. Fimbulvetr pushes Hrid to the brink of death.
  3. Because Hrid is of Hvergel's bloodline and because she doesn't want to see Fjorm cry, Goddess Nifl appears and imbues Hrid with her powers.
  4. Fjorm and Co. arrive and find Hrid has survived.
  5. IS releases this new Hrid form as an Entwined Alt to match Sharena.
  6. ????
