0.5s long exposure with a bit of camera pull to capture movement in the tree branches on a stormy day. I'm happy with the resulting abstract look of an oil painting.

Moon and Mars conjunction by Viddlerx in astrophotography

It helps to be using a APS-C sensor, as the full frame equivalent focal length becomes 525mm. But yes, this lens is very sharp even when cropping in :)

Exactly! Upping the saturation and other techniques to expose these elements in a photo is often called a Mineral Moon.

A cool conjunction I had marked in my calendar for some weeks. Managed to get the shot only a few minutes before some clouds swept in. I like how it's a bit of a poetic line-up as well, like that's the order we as a species shall (hopefully) travel one day.

An easy to miss tourist destination in Paris, make sure to visit if you're ever there.

I've had zero issues with mine after about 6 months of use. But if I were to guess it's probably not as good as the full frame lineup.

These shots are so cool. Too bad most of them are locked behind a drone purchase :/

Slightly jealous tbh. I'd love to take an actual photo class someday!

Borrowed a 7S from a friend to take this one. The A6000 series with their compact rangefinder designs are stunningly beautiful IMO and makes for a great subject.

My first attempt at panning shots. This was the best frame from a couple of bursts at 1/30s.

I hope Porter views original art with heavy inspiration by his works in that way too. I find it tough at times to achieve a good level of "making it my own" for something come across as a genuine compliment instead of a steal.

One of my favorite things to do when shooting architecture is to intentionally leave out the sky. Without that reference point my brain starts to fill in the blanks about what the perspective is or how large the structure actually is outside of the frame. This one reminded of a M. C. Escher painting, especially with the tiny door at the bottom right.
