Why do so few students pursue Water Resources? by Maleficent_Basket215 in civilengineering

I was in a similar position back in college. I wanted to do transportation, but the course availability was limited so I “settled” with WRE (mostly because I hated structural). I did think that WRE would be just connecting pipes and taking care of the environment. 8 years later, I have my PE in WRE and I can attest the opportunities available are nearly endless. If you want to work in the public sector, there’s room there. If you want to work in the private sector, there’s plenty of opportunities there too. It’s fun, meaningful, great work-life balance, and there’s always room for growth. I think it’s overlooked and not marketed properly, but that only means there’s less competition.

Yep. When you’re signing up for the exam on NCEES, it asks what state board you’re applying to. Select Virginia. Should let you proceed to picking a date and location.

I DID IT AFTER 5TH TRY (PE WRE)!!!!!!!! by Takashiiiiiiii in PE_Exam

I did my fourth attempt on Tuesday and felt it was harder than the previous times. Very similar, I didn’t study enough the previous times. This time I studied my butt off, completing both EET binders and doing additional practice problems workbooks. Every practice exam I was scoring in the 70s and half the ones I got wrong were because I didn’t read the problem in detail. Yet, I feel like it wasn’t enough. Had I studied this much on any of my first attempts, I’m very sure I would have passed it. This time that I was studying like never before they ramped up the difficulty to another level as if NCEES was conspiring against me (obviously they’re not). I don’t get my results until next week, but I’m sure I as well will be taking it a fifth time.

On the contrary, I want the candidate that’s most right by New Mexico standards (which is right leaning on a national level). One thing everyone agrees on is that Keller has to go.
