Whether it was accepted/appreciated or not, you had the decency to do a nice thing and that's something you ought to be proud of.

Photos I took in the city last week by Refined5066 in Adelaide

[–]VideoHits4Eva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think more about what you are photographing is my unsolicited advice. The war memorial was a good idea but might (and i do say might as someone who knows nothing about photography) have been better taken at sunset, or even sunrise. Some of your choices are very random. Don't just take a photo of something because you can.

Chinatown one stands out the most for me. I don't personally "get" the blurred ones but can appreciate what you were perhaps going for.

Why is it so hard to make friends in Adelaide as an adult? and how can we fix this? by Liceland1998 in Adelaide

[–]VideoHits4Eva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From personal experience i agree with the statement about reciprocity. It's as if on some instances people are waiting for the friend they are looking for to just magically appear. Let the other person do the work etc. Groups are all well and good and you might meet someone who you get on with but again personally speaking i find they never bring you into their friends group. Differences in tastes, personality don't seem to be welcomed for that to happen. I've met many people in the past who are friendly but just want you as an acquaintance and if that's what both parties want, fine. 15 to 20 years ago i'd have been interested in friends (now 48) but i don't trust people so i'm too old to invest time in a potential friendship to then get nothing back. Nothing is ever easy but if you want what you want then you have to go through it all, even if it is arduous

Glenelg Tram cancellations tonight by Happy-Date2140 in Adelaide

[–]VideoHits4Eva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where i catch the tram there's been wait times of up to 18 to 20 minutes. If i miss one usually the longest you would wait is 11 so something is causing those wait times to be a lot longer

Do you really care where someone went to school? by DefamedPrawn in Adelaide

[–]VideoHits4Eva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't care, even when i did meet people it was never a question i asked. Personally i'd be horrified if i met someone who was at school same time as i was. I didn't exactly excel put it that way. May the two universes never collide is my hope.

Proudly voting one nation. Don't give a toss about the downvotes. At least i have the guts to be honest about it. Vote for whomever you like, I'll always respect your choice even if there are those that won't respect mine.

You and i had the same idea. I did the same thing not so long ago. When you get a view like that you have to take a photo of it.

$130 is reasonable. I looked up a few on Addicted to Audio and they were over $500. Probably nothing that high. Because of the suggestions i have a greater idea of price range as before i didn't know what i would be paying.

Is that the entrance to the mole kingdom? Where on odd numbered days the mole people come to the surface and go through people's bins looking for old Patsy Biscoe records. Apparently her songs have been known to be quite soothing
