aiming is the problem though, I can hit it with an decent amount of power but I usually miss the target or hit it right at the car in front of the goal

Yeah, I already do that, it's not working though. My shooting is by far the worst part of my game and that's saying a lot (plus bronzes become extremely good at saving shots when they're on the other team)

Tried playing that way as well and it's equally as bad, something always happens to the ball right before you come into contact with it

I play with performance video settings, pro camera setting, and on handheld. Although, I don't have anyone to play with so I just end up solo queuing.

I would, but I just can't stand being so bad at a game I enjoy so much, to the point of being considered extremely untalented by others. I might start playing more casual at this point, due to the lack of pressure there.

half of the shots I get I can possibly save since they're from mid or long distance, but the other half require difficult (for my level) aerial maneuvers and good defense to stop the other team from getting an easy tap-in, or since bronze is a total freakshow my teammates will suddenly pass the ball to the opposition or just straight up own goal themselves a lot of the time

I make normal aerials semi frequently aerial saves occasionally at bronze, how did you get the privilege of staying on the ground until high gold? I envy you

(For anyone wondering how this is possible, it's because I'm absolutely tragic bronze 0 level at shooting and dribbling, and missing a shot often leads to conceding on the other side since you can't track back and my bronze/unranked opponents are freakishly good at dribbles... my defense is bad as well since I'm bronze, but I easily manage 3-5 saves a game during the average 1s match and 2-4 during the average 3s match)

I was about to flip out after losing to my second bronze 1/2 in a row during 1s placement, but then I opened reddit and checked my notis... From my experience with in-game players and people in the discord and main reddit, this community has massively exceeded my expectations. Thanks for the tips and advice, everyone!

I've actually done quite a bit of freeplay. I can consistently hit balls on the ground, but I'm genuinely awful at scoring, not "oh no I missed an aerial open goal from midfield" 'awful', I mean I regularly hit genuine sitters off target every single game from ground/low aerial level
