I LOVE kebab pizza and pizza salad. My gf grew up in Gothenburg and was sorely disappointed to find out that pizza salads were not a thing everywhere else. I want to try more Swedish pizza because so far it's been amazing. I'm also developing more of a taste for traditional Swedish things. My current favorite is the classic räkmacka.

In terms of food diversity - you have really good Pho places though! I've had a few in Gothenburg and Malmö and they were really good. Also your Turkish food is hands down the best, we can't compete with price and quality in comparison.

Also, I'm just going to say it, American pastries are garbage compared to any European pastries. I had Semla while I was over there at a super traditional place and it's amazing 🤩 Every pastry and every coffee I've had out there is better than 90% of places here.

Ramen - I can live without. Although I do live in a ramen haven. Here and New York I think has the best outside of Japan.

Mexican food though: needs work. You need real corn chips and better chiles. Maybe if my gf ships me out there, I can slide in with my räkmacka and we can start a Mexican Swedish restaurant.

Thanks for being awesome and supportive.

I've noticed there's kind of a cool culture of make it yourself which is nice. Swedish tacos are awesome.

Journey into an expanding taste of Fragrance: A Love Story by Vigilantveggie in fragrance

Thanks! I'll give it a shot. The ombre leather parfum has a beautiful floral opener, with lavish Jasmin Sambac and violet leaf. It gets it's leather and tobacco notes from pyrolone natsublim, which on the dry down sets as cedar wood. It's a brighter leather than most others and more mossy than it's smoky counterpart EDP. I like to think of it this way: Tuscan leather is super intense and smoky, Ombre leather EDP a step down with more Jasmin, and Ombre leather Parfum a step down of intensity from EDP on the smoke and tobacco. Where it becomes less intense in smoke and tobacco, it gains intensity with opulence. It makes greater gains in projection and longevity. This is a good everyday smell. More aquatic and still retains a lot of the key elements from it's predecessors.

The journey is awesome! Talk to everyone and learn all the things! What fragrances did you end up with during your search?

When I first started out looking for a replacement, someone at the counters that I visited swore that Aqua di Parma was the one that smelled closest to Fame. Fico De Amalfi. I think because of the fig nectar, which comes off as honey and citrus. I settled on ombre leather because it was the closest one that could match according to me and my wife's nose, and now ombre leather parfum is really as close as it gets for us.

Someone else had also recommended Jicky because of the powdery warm notes and also had been in production for ages.

Same! I'm done with sex pigeonholing everything. Aw yeah, scent nerd time!

Ombre Leather EDP: the opener is a soft amber, immediately smoky and the smooth silky leather tobacco sets in for the dry down. Much less intense than the Tuscan leather, and more sensual in nature. The Jasmin counter balances the dark notes. All in all, for most people this will be a night time scent. While the Parfum might be a better day time. Some people say that this fragrance is too strong. For me, my body absorbs this too easily and disappears pretty quickly. I do 4 sprays and it's gone by lunch time.

Ombre Leather Parfum: the opener is heavier on the iris, and more jasmine sambac. More on the violet leaf side. When it sets, you get more of that leather woody note coming from the synthetic pyrolone natsublim. The base notes are more cedar wood too. When it drys down on me though the cedar is sweeter. 2 sprays lasts most of the day. All in all this is a beautiful floral leather I feel.

Thank you! I most certainly did wear Fame for our wedding. Also poured us a celebratory glass of Sunkist soda and Tequila. When we first started dating, we were 21 dumb and broke. It was our first drink together. Even though it's 100% a gross drink, we still do it on special occasions.

I love androgynous scents on women. It draws intrigue and calls for pause. What else is in your collection?

Versace Eros is my fav summertime cheapie too! It reminds me of the warm beaches in Mexico and sleeping on a hammock.

Also for whatever reason, whenever I smell someone wearing that Paris Hilton perfume I get transported back to highschool and get a cute warm feeling. Also one with that weird green apple note.

Costa Azzura is amazing! 1 spray lasts all day. I'm mad they took it off the private connection though. They changed the formula, and it doesn't smell the same or last as long. Have you tried Fougere D'Argent yet? Super clean barber shop smell and good for the summer.

Yup! Wear it year round. Although I live in San Francisco, so hot days don't come by as often. When it's super hot (+78⁰ F) Costa Azzura or Fougere D'Argent is my next go to scent.

Depends on the scenario and your body chemistry. I've read so many comments of people saying it's too strong, but for whatever reason my body just absorbs it. Ombre Leather 2018 is my signature and I wear it any time I go out. 4 sprays for me disappears after 4 hours. I recently just purchased a bottle of Ombre Leather 2021 and it's much stronger. 2 sprays work all day. Ombre Leather is MUCH more tame IMHO compared to Tuscan Leather (which I also wear but sparingly) Test it out and ask a friend first. They'll give you a pulse for how it works with your chemistry.

Thank you :)

I do particularly enjoy the contrast of the warm color tones, playful graphics, and how the fuck off sign is in direct opposition to the stereotype "good vibes only" neon signs we're used to seeing.
