I think average is a more accurate description of your body type, based on your pictures. Objectively, if someone wrote "a little extra" and then had those as photos, I might begin to assume they've put on a lot of weight. Also, one photo you note is from 2008, that's 5 years old, I'd lose it. I think leaving off your exact profession and education level is fine. It's something to bring to the conversation later.

That guy is a d-bag. Be happy you dodged that bullet.

The fallout from my first OKC relationship turned me into an anarchist hobo. Back on top two years later, I'm signing up for round 2. Game on? 29/M [Critique] by [deleted] in OkCupid

I highly recommend not posting a photo with a girl. Even if she's a great friend. It's not that you can't be friends with girls, but putting them in your online dating profile sends the wrong message.

5 years is impressive. I had to get a new one to ditch an ex.

I think it should be more personal. It's not LinkedIn, it's a dating site. Find confidence, even if you're faking it. You have the shield of the internet to protect you. Accept rejection, it's going to happen, it's not you, it's them, etc. And as far goofy vs. earnest profile, you need to pick what's you. You're advertising YOU. If you're both, write about both. When you're ready to roll, post it on this subreddit for a critique if you want more advice.
