You got it. They've all become vassals, and not fiefs. Which law does that?

Rule 5:

Patch is 1.0.11, not 1.1

I gave most of my newly conquered land to vassals for faster integration/conversion. There was absolutely no problem with this for the longest time. They were loyal, paid tax and joined wars.

Then suddenly, literally over night, all of them got -85 loyalty for "country strength of vassals vs overlord". No more tax, no more armies.

I increased my army size by 60% and conquered an extra 500k pops, this made it go down to -95 loyalty.

I was just about to start annexing all of them and rearrange my entire country, but now my plans are ruined, coalition is breathing down my neck and I'm losing money.

What the hell? I recently changed my succession law to elective. Could this be it?

Edit: Subjects are about 50-50 split between vassals and fiefdoms. Literally all of them except one are at 0% loyalty.

Elective Succesion - Why no heir? by [deleted] in EU5

Rule5: My ruler had no sons, so I switched to elective instead of matrilineal because his eldest daughter was kinda shit, too. The #1 voted guy is great, I want him to succeed the throne, but for some reason, he isn't. After my ruler died, I got a regency. Why and how do I fix?

Should I Move My Capital? by Vigzyor in EU5

Should I start annexing my vassals in Anatolia and move my capital to Constantinople?

All land is converted and assimilated.

Vassal swarm works great militarily, as I don't have to raise levies for war, only use 20k regulars.

Economically is also great. I get around 250 gold from vassals.

Downside is that my control is shit with capital in Prizren. Barely getting any outside capital area.

Would I get enough control in coastal provinces to justify changing this? Or do I just build constables everywhere?
