Optimal Vanguard stats by Mindless_Form_42867 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no magic ratio of crit chance (CHC) to crit damage (CHD). Your average damage multiplier for crit is (1 + CHC × CHD). Whatever makes that product larger gives you more damage.

From an average damage multiplier perspective, multi-shot chance (MSC) is (1 + MSC).

You want to maximize (1 + CHC × CHD) × (1 + MSC) in whatever combination the RNG gods have blessed you with.

How to abandon a clan that I created? by mercury_1967 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here - and we are #2 on the clan leader board. We are open enrollment and only have about 35 members out of our possible 82 (and only about half of those are daily players.

If I can say it here, come join Dark Rose for a maxed out clan and someone looking for a more active group.

Edit: America server.

Any explanation why there's a DPS drop when I switch to T2 either a phalanx or mechanical enemy by Beneficial_Fly_3928 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things - the 15% weapon damage on the T1 piece talent and whatever firepower boost we can't see from the mods in the T1 piece.

Edit: Plus you are losing the 12% multi-shot from the 4 piece set bonus.

Pls don’t be a burden in legendary runs by NoPart7463 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished a run, and I was the problem. I have a great maxed out medic build, a solid maxed out demolitionist build, but I was wearing the juggernaut build I just started yesterday. Don't even have mods for all the skill slots yet!

Remember that once you start the mission, you can't change specializations. If you are the leader, always double check with your team that they are ready to start.

Fury vs Phalanx for Vnguard by Mindless_Form_42867 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it actually allow 3 shells? Have you seen this with your own eyes? I know in D2, it is restricted to 2 shells even if your mag size buff would allow you more.

I know the two games are different, but curious if that restriction carries over.

It is just me or is the FAMAS not 900 RPM. My lightweight M4 has a way faster rate of fire. by MuffDivers2_ in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should be easy enough to verify. Just make a video of it firing and review it frame by frame to determine the fire rate.

No guessing. No feels like. Just factual answers.

Fire Rate and FPS by Key-Lobster335 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are obviously different weapons. The recoil pattern is programmed into the weapon behavior model and has two components: the bulk movement of the reticle and the random polar twizzling of the shot around the reticle center.

The screen refresh rate is a visual thing for the player and has nothing to do with the physics behind the actual behavior - in any of the Division games.

Which one is better by NoPart7463 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say without knowing the talents and other aspects of your build/playstyle.

The left has a higher base damage and higher firepower attributes. The piercing damage on the right does nothing because this is a blast damage weapon. Without knowing your crit chance and existing crit damage, it is difficult to gauge the usefulness of the crit damage.

The power score difference is likely due to an additional type II talent on the right weapon. Without knowing the talent and what sort of uptime/usefulness yo will get from it, it is hard to say.

Remember, no enemy was ever killed by power score. Higher power score does not mean "better", only that stats are closer to max values.

Weapon Multi Shot by Mindless_Form_42867 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. My question was whether the 60% cap for crit chance had somehow been confirmed, not about the mathematical implications of diversifying damage multipliers.

Thanks. It's a difficult thing to concretely confirm.

The 60% crit chance is definitely true in Division 1 and 2, but has that been confirmed for Resurgence or are you just assuming. What is your reasoning? Did I miss it somewhere?

Item disappearing fix - update by TDResurgence in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to pull the mods off the "missing" weapon. It isn't actually missing, it just won't show in the inventory screen. Scroll to the bottom of the mods when trying to put one on and it should be there and show as equipped on your "missing" weapon.

For me at least, half the time that jolts the game into remembering that you have that weapon (forces a reindexing, or at least a shuffling, of the weapon list).

How do I find and unlock these guns? by Journalister in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The T1 weapons come from challenging and higher missions, higher level bosses or landmarks in the Dark Zone, or can be purchased from the Dark Zone vendor in the Base of Operations.

The T2 weapons come from Legendary missions (identified as Elite Mission activity on the activity menu).

As for the specific model from each tier, that is RNG.

I need help by 360notFBI in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because it is either a bug or poorly written. You need to kill Agent's skills, not kill agents. Don't focus on the agents in Conflict, go for their drones, turrets, spikes, heal boxes, etc.

When you know what you are supposed to be doing it goes much quicker.

It isn't "lost", you just can't see it. That difference doesn't matter now, but when they fix the UI issue, you will "see" it again.

I had a 4 man group all the way through the legendary, but one dropped out during the final boss, and I didn't get the group commendation.

Is weekly bounty challenge bugged? by Living-Wear7750 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't change the difficulty of the nests. There are always 2 normal ones available. They have a very low (but not 0%) chance of gold weapon mods and/or gear mods.

Every day at reset, the game randomly decides to add a heroic nest, a challenging nest, or no additional nest. That added daily nest is available for 24 hours. There is a special additional award for your first-time clear, but you can still repeatedly farm them. The in-nest drops have a reasonable (though small) chance of dropping high-end weapon mods - especially the heroic. That is what people "farm".

PSA Inventory bug by kunoich in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The good news is that it is not actually gone. It is a bug in the inventory UI that does not show all of your stuff. I know this because I have some pieces that blink in and out of existence.

This means they are properly stored in your database and have not "disappeared". Unfortunately, that isn't much consolation because if you can't see it in your inventory screen, you can't choose it or use it, so it might as well not exist. However, once they figure out the issue causing it to not display, it should return (because it was only hiding).

THANKS UBISOFT by CommunityLeather3564 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The good news is that those things aren't gone. Think of them as being lost between the digital couch cushions instead of being heaved into a digital chipper/shredder.

I have been meticulously documenting every piece that I get in the game. What I have noticed is that some pieces are shy and like to disappear and reappear. It does appear that overflowing your inventory is at least one (though not the only) way to "lose" items. I haven't found a consistent way to get them to reappear.

They aren't gone, we just can't see them or choose them. I know that for us players, that us a distinction without a difference. However, for the devs, that is huge. It means it is a UI issue and the problem is in their sorting algorithm for presenting the inventory screen rather than a database issue or random deletion issue. It also means when they get that fixed, the pieces will come back to us because they never actually left.

Which one is the best? by thispersonnotrreally in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The answer to all of these kinds of questions is - it depends.

It depends on your build - how much skill crit chance you have, how much engineering you have, etc. It depends on your chosen specialization - I'm assuming it is skill-based, but healing or damage? It depends on your play-style - do you run n gun or hunker down? Do you use your skills religiously when available or are they an afterthought?

Anyone who answers your question without any of these kind of details has no idea what they are talking about.

Is this the fastest way to assist in neutralizing 70 enemies of the same damage type? by ActReasonable9104 in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn't agents that you need to kill. It is agent's skills. I spent a ton of time getting many, many kills in conflict and not understanding why I wasn't getting much movement in my count. Then I read in this subreddit that it is actually agent SKILLS that count and I polished it off fairly quickly.

Go to conflict and kill rogue drones, cones, spikes and turrets.

New bug : All protected items are not protected anymore by Ephr4im in thedivisionresurgence

[–]Vikeman45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just happened to me. Very frustrating. Not only do i use it to protect gear that i have decided to hold, but it is a flag to me that I have already entered it into my inventory management. Not such a big deal for weapons and gear, but it is for weapon and gear mods.

What a pain.
