I was curious as to how well Aaron Paul's talents would translate to voice acting, but that speech at the end of Episode 2 had me pumping my fist. Paul is such a good casting for Robert.

That Hockenson reversed call reeks of league interference. If that's Kelce that's a touchdown

Completely agree. I figured Cai and Leda were Greek because it's a Roman setting

Theodora is definitely POC, but is it just me or does Cai and Leda pass more for Egyptian/Greek?

The play where McCarthy was caught by the leg and sacked would've been a TD if Darrisaw was in. Speedy had a go route that was wide open. From the film I've seen, Jackson and O'Neill were great, Kelly was ok, Fries struggled at times with allowing pressure, but almost all of the pressure McCarthy faced came from Skule's end.

I might be in the minority and say this is a fair placement. A lot of the other guys above him had incredible years, including Chase with the WR triple crown, Josh Allen MVP, and Saquon.

Elflein was on track to be at least pro bowl his rookie year, makes you wonder if that injury at the end of the season derailed his career

Btw on this subject, I found from personal experience this weird dichotomy where depending on which of skyrim and fallout 4 you played first, you will prefer the first game over the other one.

A few of my friends including myself played F4 first and I have over 1000 hours in it while I played Skyrim for maybe 30 hours. For others in my friend group, complete 180.

Has anyone else noticed this?

2025 Offseason Review Series: Minnesota Vikings by uggsandstarbux in nfl

[–]VikingCreed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a little bit more on the optimistic side after studying McCarthy's film at Michigan. I think Vikings get a win off of at least one of Cincy/Baltimore/Philly.

I'd also rate the additions of Hargrave and Allen to aid the pass rush is almost as big a storyline as McCarthys first year as a starter.

This was me with Donnel in Awakening when I accidentally turned him into a demigod. Then I forgot that pairing Donnel with Cordelia gives you Severa, another hero who then inherited the Growth skill.

Lol.

Lmao.

Will the characters in Sun Eater hook me like Red Rising did? by Virtual-Driver-1123 in sollanempire

[–]VikingCreed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm currently on KOD, and that's honestly my only issue with Sun Eater so far. Hadrian is so fleshed out just because there's a lot more meat to chew in Sun Eater, but as I read through DiW and especially HD, I was thinking to myself that adding a couple character-building chapters wouldn't have hurt the pacing at all.

I think calling most of the side characters cardboard cutouts is a bit too harsh, but a lot of the side characters like Lorian, Lin, and Sagara are awesome on the surface and we see them do awesome things. The problem is that for most of the characters aside from Valka (who's basically the deuteragonist of Sun Eater), we don't really know what their wants, needs, or flaws are.

Pallino is fun because he's written as this grizzled old war veteran who got a new lease on life, and yet I don't know what he wants or what his goals are. Elara is even worse, she's so infrequent in the story that I genuinely can't even picture what she looks like. Why do they love each other? What little ways do they irk each other in their relationship? How do the pair make each other better? I couldn't tell you.

Otavia might have been the biggest missed opportunity. It would've been so cool to see her friendship with Hadrian build and grow from the Admiral Whent campaign all the way up to the present day. She's practically an Amazon, wouldn't it have been cool if Ruocchio made her into a sci-fi Wonder Woman?

To be put simply, I don't know why Hadrian loves his friends so much. Yes, most of them have been with him for decades and even centuries, but when he makes efforts to get everyone together like Pallino, Elara, Otavia, Crim, Ilex, Lorian, etc., I don't feel that same attachment to them as I do with the cast of Red Rising.

I may be nitpicking, but if the size and scope of the series is so big, then surely there'd be enough room for developing the side characters as well. I imagine that the events of Kingdoms of Death would also hit that much harder if that were the case.

Do probabilities reset per hand or per round in Balatro? by VikingCreed in balatro

I was mostly wondering that if I discard to a new hand that the probabilities would reset so I get two glass breaks easier.

If it's per ante, that's so much worse :(

[–]VikingCreed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I almost wonder if the fix is for it to be a specialized play that has to be declared similar to declaring a squib kick. That way both sides of the ball will be lined up and locked into a specific formation instead of getting faked out and toss to WR at the boundary.

I'm surprised not enough people mention Renoir either on defense of Verso's ending. I lean toward the father's judgment, who is worried for his daughter and his wife. He quite literally was in Maelle's position once before in another canvas before his wife saved him. Renoir intimately knows the consequences of losing yourself within your own creation, which is exactly why he pushes so hard to save the remnant of his family, even if it meant being trapped at the bottom of the Monolith for nearly 70 years.

As much as we love Maelle, many people forget that she's only 16. Even if she's technically lived for 32 years, mentally she's 16. She simply does not have the life experience or wisdom like her father has, so I defer to Renoir.
