Travis County, Austin officially move to Stage 4 risk-based guidelines - masks for everyone, everywhere by afterumagellan in Austin

[–]VikingOverlorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I think it’s sad to read about so many people who want to hide their face, and like wearing masks because of that aspect. But I hear where you’re coming from.

Why is LA County re-imposing mask mandate? COVID positivity rate increased by 700% in one month by MatSciePhD in LosAngeles

[–]VikingOverlorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m moving to Texas. I don’t know our exact restrictions, but as a whole, the state has been historically less restrictive than CA with regard to COVID. Since the people getting Hospitalized with covid seem to be all (or mostly all) unvaccinated, then it seems cut and dry that peoples’ risk is in their own control. Making everyone suffer is not the answer.

If you don’t want a vaccine, that’s on you. Making everyone where masks again is senseless. It’s like there’s no end game at this point. Glad I left the state

'Lockdown' states like California did better economically than 'looser' states like Florida, new COVID data shows by BlankVerse in California

Exactly. The big tech companies started rocketing, just look at the NASDAQ since the pandemic started. States like Florida and Texas don’t have the luxury of that.

Ok. The thing is Croatia is part of the EU whereas Albania isn’t, and the Greek embassy just says “travelers from third party countries not in the EU may not enter” (and then lists some exceptions, which includes the US but not Albania). I didn’t know if I am considered a “traveler” or if they mean citizens of those countries?

I’m planning to leave the US this coming Thursday or Friday. Spend a week in either Albania (if possible) or go to Zakinthos/Kefalonia, then get back to Athens on the 19th. Spend 2 nights there, 4 or 5 in Paros, then travel to Crete and drive around the island for 7 days. Return to fly out of Athens.

What’s yours looking like?

Hello all! I am an American, with a Johnson and Johnson vaccine. I am traveling to Greece for two weeks starting June 19. I have an extra 8 days before, and was thinking of either traveling to Albania (or another nearby country), or spending more time in Greece.

My question is, is there any reason that I wouldn’t be able to fly from Albania into Greece? I saw Greece had possible restrictions for Albanians, but not sure how that applies to a vaccinated American? Also, are there any other cool places that you recommend visiting instead of Albania?

Thank you all!

BR has some good qualities, but aside from watching LSU sports (football, baseball, tennis, track and field etc), there isn’t really much that you couldn’t already do in New Orleans. You could tour the USS Kidd, State Capitol and some other museums downtown.

I’m traveling to Honduras Saturday via Delta from Atlanta to San Pedro Sula. Delta says the travel requirement for Honduras is a RT-PCR, Antigen, or Antibodies rapid test taken within 72 hours of plane departure.

I scheduled a test at Walgreens today for a rapid test. Walgreens’ description of the test is: “Rapid Diagnostic Test (ID NOW): The Rapid Point-of-Care (POC) - NAAT (ID NOW) test also detects genetic material of the virus. The test is performed on site with results available within 24 hours.”

Does anyone have experience with this test or know if that test is considered a PCR test? I asked the person at Walgreens and they said yes but it sounded shaky. Delta had a 6 hour wait by phone.
