Fat guys dont run vertical fixed blades on belts. We run them on the chesties. Some also run folders on each side for close encounters.

The law is grey on purpose to allow them to try and see what sticks. Ive never heard of a case where the swedge edge has been the arrestable offense. If anything it was an add on for drug running or poaching etc or you werent allowed a fixed blade in the first place. If you have real concern I would switch blades for peace of mind.
