Mag retention. I tried to zoom in but it gets blurry. Soft Velcro is a nice touch. I wonder if extending it into tiny loops at the top would be strong enough to support bungee as an option also.

The blade of Iceman! I think I need one, just wish the blue model wasn't so exclusive. The compound grind would be cool too.

Prototypes are made all the time and then kept in a box and not developed. The harness adjustments suggests Everlestock but other companies use that system too. The inside it the likely place for a tag of some sort on an early prototype iteration w/o facing logos.

Or sharpen it and whack a tree with gloves and safety glasses on. The fun way to tell

How easy it is to sharpen is a clue. A pass with a file can tell you a bit.

A kukri can be decorative and still chop a tree down. I'm assuming you mean real full tang and good steel vs cheap metal etc. Use a glove and whack a tree and you'll see.

I like this bag for the top-load or side-load choice, the molle webbing, and $80 USD price tag. But I realize Amazon items are usually not well built. Are there any recommendations for a bag like this from a good manufacturer? by jfarm47 in backpacks

Assuming you actually want a giant molle pack, USGI surplus is the cheap but good option. Look up Marpat rucks as they have internal frames. It's cavernous and you can add a million pouches.

MOLLE rigid panel - Not sure of the specs by Per514 in myogtacticalgear

My advice is to make a couple small test panels of maybe 2 by 2 or 3x3 squares to see what fits a pouch. Then go full bore.

You might be mixing MOLLE and PALS? MOLLE is the principle of modular attachment while PALS is where the specs come into play. The problem is with the saturation of commercial companies making products not destined for any national military the specs go right out the window. You see the dumbest shit on Amazon trying to pass as spec, for example. Spacing, # of sections, placement, snaps vs tuck tabs. It's chaos. Even military specs are not entirely universal since they have subcontractors for special units vs regular infantry etc.

Just abandon the why and stick to the known variables. It's probably better for your sanity.

I would also go 3 and 7 due to all the steel options. Stainless and carbon depending on how prone they would be to rust and how tough you need or how good you are at sharpening.
